Does anyone still play Duke Nukem? I see it's still around. It was one of my favorites in the late 90's.

 

I bought all of them. Played the first couple (2D ones). Didn't get very far into 3D before I gave up.

 

I played those too until my wife got tired of hearing all the sound effects, especially of the aliens. I think I got pretty far since I had some really good weapons.

 

Ghost of Tsushima was on sale on PSN a while back. Bought it and finished it a few days ago. Holy. Cow. Zero regrets.

I absolutely DESPISE spoilers to the point of near insanity, so I will not say anything in that regard. The game is gorgeous. The animations in the cutscenes are top notch, the combat is fun, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The character progression is engaging, purposeful, and paced very well. Nothing seems out of reach, but you don't get so flooded with upgrades that you run out of things to push toward. I can't comment much on the online mode, as I am just barely scratching the surface there, but it's been enjoyable so far.


Long story short: Ghost of Tsushima is the best game I've played in a long time. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

 

Agreed, people say story mode games are phasing out for more multi-player tournament style games but these games are the only reason I still play. Nothing about the story felt forced, none of his decisions felt out of place. I honestly sat at the last big decision of the game for like an hour trying to figure out what I wanted to do which is awesome because had I had that decision at the beginning of the game I know I would have just jumped into it. This game made me truly think about what my character would actually do. I needed this game after the shitshow that was TLOU2.

 

What is TLOS2?

 

The last of us 2... I just realized it changed it. Suppose to be TLOU2

 

Ah. Haven't played either of those. Got a buddy that keeps hounding me to play them.

No spoilers please. They've been out long enough everyone just starts talking and I have to shush them.

 

I've been hoping they port this to pc, I won't get my hopes up yet tho

Been playing a decent amount of chivalry 2, having lots of fun with it after playing mordhau for a while. Needs some work/patches, but the bones are super fun

 

Play em' I loved the first one and because of that I would play the second one again even knowing the outcome.

 

Finally got an Xbox Series X last weekend. My One is still humming along, but you could tell the games are being designed now for the new platform. Even the existing games were getting annoyingly slow to load after some recent updates.

I ran our cable and audio thru the One and didn’t realize Microsoft pulled all those ports out of the new platform. It was a bit irritating to have to rewire everything, but I’m glad the new platform is more focused.

Really enjoying the fast load times. Games that used to take 3+ minutes are now 30-60 seconds. I used to start a game and go take a piss and refill my beverage. No time for that anymore!

My TV isn’t 4k, but the improvements in video quality and smoothness is very noticeable. Pretty happy with it!

 

Yeah I was upset to see no optic on the back of the series x, I have Astro A50's from my ps4 and one X and when I got the new systems they are both struggling to work. My ps5 will not charge my headset when in rest mode and my TV will put my ps5 in rest mode if I turn it off, so the only way to charge my headset is to turn on my ps5 and TV and let it sit on the home screen or to unplug my headset from the ps5 and plug it into the wall, Annoying. My series X doesn't have the optical out so I have to plug the headset directly into the TV which wouldn't be an issue but when I go to use the ps5 my TV wants to revert the sound through the optical and I have to switch it over to HDMI, not a big deal but sometimes the TV thinks it's smarter then me and tries to switch back to optical.

 

Still play a little Fortnite and still not very good at it. Can pull off a win on occasion. Anyhow, learned a neat trick that most players don’t think about and that’s hiding in a vehicle as a passenger. Most don’t think to look in a parked vehicle that not running. Won a match yesterday when a high ranked player was running all over the place towards end game looking for me. Ran right past the truck I was in as a passenger whee I was able to jump out and get the jump on him. Was quite happy after watching the replay and he was an extremely talented player with a dozen eliminations

 

I’m still playing Snowrunner. The latest DLC is actually pretty good as are the newest vehicles. I’ll get the new Halo whenever it releases but still not drawn back in to any FPS.

 

You do know they are making a “directors cut” now of this game and with dlc. Maybe will pick that up on PS5 and try out the game.

Right now finishing up Miles Morales and loving Ratchet & Clank.

 

Hows miles? Bought it with the ps5 but I stupidly replayed the original in anticipation of the new one and burned myself out early in the game. Amazing fluid movements definitely an upgrade over the older one I just needed a brake.

 

The first Spider-Man remastered on the PS5 was amazing. I enjoyed every sec of playing through that game. Miles is much of the same game, just a little different in his abilities and things. I like it, just been busy and need to finish it up, about 75% through it now.

 

Finally started Fallout 4 and am a couple hours deep into it. I can already tell...

One of my all-time favorites...

 

I got 300 hours on Skyrim for PS3. After playing this game and just now starting to establish Sanctuary, I'm afraid. So very afraid...

 

Excellent game, and easily my favorite console title of 2020. I played this one to no-end as I was completely addicted to the combat system. Very dynamic, and I loved the skill tree and perks.

 

I agree. I'm playing it again in the new game+ mode. Likely going to get the directors cut as well. It's so nice to have a fun game to play after some of the train wrecks that have been shoved out in the last few years.

 

Good to know, thanks. Hopefully it'll get a PC port since I've long grown tired trying to get a PS5 and ended up upgrading my rig. I was actually able to get my hands on a GPU before I could find a PS5.

This one turned out to be my favorite FO game, and easily one of my all time favorite games. I had I think I had 2.5 playthroughs on PS4 plus the platinum before I switched to PC where I modded the he!! out of the game and I think I'm on playthrough #6. I'm so addicted to the building aspect and exploring.

 

This is actually a big reason why I've gone back to PC and only play exclusives now on console. I had gotten into the practice of waiting 3-6 months on AAA titles, but I've found that the PC versions tend to run better and have way less issues. Cyberpunk 2077 is the latest example of that. Had a blast with that one from the start, although I did wait a few weeks on that one before picking it up. But games like Ghost might get me to eventually bite on a PS5 when they're more available, especially if the DC doesn't get a PC port.

 

And speaking of PC, these dog-garned Steam summer sales are ridiculous. Just spent more money than I want to admit this morning before the sale ended. And now I have even more titles in the library that I'll probably never get to, just like ever other Steam user. Sigh...

 

I don't even look any more. My brothers and our friends mostly play the same ~4 games and my hard drive is getting full of games I'll never finish.

 

It doesn't help that I have the app on my phone, and every time something on my wish list goes on sale I get a notification. I'm a sucker for anything that dips below $10 lol.

 

Agree 100% with this. Without going too much into it, it's one of the *VERY* few games that actually got me in my feels @ some point(s). (You probably know what I'm referring to.)
