TRD air intake . Over sized wheels and tires. 4x foot well LED light bars. TRD rear sway bar Front LED light bar behind grill. Back up LED under rear bumper Front leveling kit. Pop out side steps. Three fold taunneau cover.
why are the interior lights so dim. Also did any model Tundra come with lighting in the glove box or console.

Not many things changed or evolved on the Tundra. Many replace with LEDs for improved lighting. Think My 07 had glove box light, no console. With over head LEDs I do not need console lights. :)

I will be upgrading the interior lights to LED. Also, the rear bed lights to LED. Did that on my last Tundra and it is worth it...

They're dim because they're cheap and not LED.

Upgrade to LED and enjoy bright, white light

On the flip side, my wife's 2020 RAV4 has LED headlights and still has cheap interior lights. You'd think they could spend the extra $0.12 per light and upgrade them from the factory. But I guess it all adds up when you sell millions of vehicles.

Upgraded with GTR leds from Headlight Revolution. Takes 2 minutes. Order bedlight, 3rd brake lights and license plate lights while you're at it. These are BRIGHT. Wife calls it an operating room

Rx350 retrofitted, Morimoto Led fogs. interior and exterior leds swap. TRD drop in filter. Carbon filter delete. Led DRL panels. TRD Shift knob.
I've had good luck with fyreflies led tundra kit. Bright. Decent pricing. Good quality. It was like $40 ish for the kit.
Lastfit leds are also pretty bright. No specific kit but you can piece together what you want.

    This is for my 2020.
Is it possible to buy individual bulbs? I see kits noted above
I'd like to swap the factory bulbs in the rear and maybe the overhead for much brighter ones.
Are there different brightness levels, or K values to choose from?
Can't see crap in the rear seats where I keep my tools etc.
Not sure I want to risk being blinded by doing the upper console lights yet.
    Napa or RockAuto or?
    Thanks

Yes. You can buy bulbs individually, pairs, 10 pks, different brightness.

Just have to research which bulb numbers they are first.

I did a complete LED replacement kit, along with the VLEDs front and rear footwell lights. Yes, you will see if you drop something on the floor. Very worthwhile upgrade that frankly should be factory.

@TravisJr Did you have existing factory passenger and rear footwell lights? If not what did you need to install these?

I only had the single tiny footwell “light” by the drivers left foot. The VLED lights plug into this socket, and daisy chain from there. Very simple in terms of wiring. I did have to remove my center console in order to run the wires cleanly. I zip tied the lights in place after reading lots of dissatisfaction with the tape durability. I may have a photo of a minor mod I did on the passenger side to keep it secure. Let me check.

awesome, very helpful. I didn't know they daisy chained. I'll stay tuned for that passenger side mod. Otherwise will purchase the set and read procedure for removing the console. I do a lot of driving early morning and after dark so I'm looking forward to this.

Here you go. It’s kind of a goofy pic, as it’s taken from the floorboard looking up. I removed that kick panel and drilled the holes so I could run the wiring through. I did use the tape, but the wires are taut enough that it really can’t sag. Mind you, none of this is visible unless you are laying on the passenger floor under the dash. The lights are very bright and are a huge upgrade from that single tiny light that comes from the factory.

This is the kit I used: https://www.vleds.com/tundra-fwk-front-rear.html

Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

Once you get the console out (which is far less difficult than it seems) you have a lot of space underneath to bring the wiring back from the dash and to route it under both seats. You could probably run in under the door trim panel to bring it back, but this seemed a lot cleaner to me.

I got the VLEDS interior kit and could not be happier - much higher quality than the Amazon specials (and pricier). Got my VLEDS on the Fourth of July sale last year 25% off. Will buy more VLEDS this year when another 25% off sale arrives - brake and reverse lights. You can chose the temperature of the light and some color choices. I also got the footwell lights. Run them on the passenger side and across the back per the instructions. No need to remove the center console.

Back to dome lighting, the bulbs in my 2020 say on them

A mazon says they fit my truck so unless someone knows something I don't see, I might try these:
Edit; so many reviews say they don't fit as promised, they don't work, they are loose in socket, they don't last, they smoke and burn! - maybe happens with all online products.

These work great, my dim-interior problem is solved.
Yes, reversed connection = no light. Just flip over and they work fine. All of them did. At first I was getting intermittent contact but it didn't take much to find that sweet spot and they have not jiggled enough to change that in 2000mi.
