    Agreed. Worth the $10.

It's too bad we can't see the equations. I did manage to find the equations for the pan and TC temps but nothing else so I had to purchase the enhanced PIDs.

I know what you are talking about. I bought the additional package but am having trouble finding what I want and end up giving up because I do not have the time to continue searching. Tried several times but never got it working. I would like to know the PID’s required for each option but I have not seen a list for that

Understood, when you import however you have to update the PID. I cannot find a lot of the PID’s like the torque converter lockup mode, etc.

The TC lock up is called “Status of the Lock Up”. Which other PID names are you needing? They don’t make it easy to list them all out in a useful format.

If it’s the same as OBDLink app, under Style go to the Range tab and you can add them there.

How do you have your settings for the TC Lock gauge? Mine is just green all the time. I have the toyota add on PIDs. Thanks

I just returned from a trip and was trying to use one of the generic ELM327 bluetooth OBD readers with OBD Fusion on my Android Phone. The thing would only work for a minute or two before losing the connection. Can anyone suggest a brand/model that is reliable and will stay connected?

I got an OBDLink MX+ and while a premium price wise, it’s worked flawlessly for me so far. OEM PIDs are included (for multiple vehicles) so that helps.

Most of us are using the Veepeak BLE. You can get it for around $32.

In the OBDFusion enhanced diag package for my '20 Tundra, it has preset PIDs for A/T Oil Temp 1,2,3, and 4. Looks like 3 and 4 don't work (maybe CVT related for other Toyota models?), but 1 and 2 give results. Given the fluctuation while driving, is my assumption correct that A/T Oil Temp 1 is Trans Pan temp and Temp 2 is torque converter temp?

Has anyone have issues getting the transmission pan temp to work on the Torque Pro app with the BAFX ODBII reader? I have a 2007 Tundra 4.7L 4wd. I've used the settings found on this thread and others in this forum and I can't seem to get any data. Anytime i test, I get "no data". Here are the settings i used

    Mode and PID: 2182
    min value: 0
    max value: 350
    scale factor: 1x
    unit: F
    equation: ((((A*256)+B)*(7/100)-400)/10)
    ODB header: auto

I'm able to get other reading like engine coolant temp, and revs, etc. Some reason, I can't get the darn tranny pan temp. I've even tried this setting, and no dice.

    Mode and PID: 2182
    min value: 0
    max value: 350
    scale factor: 1x
    unit: F
    equation: ((((E*256)+F)*(7/100)-400)/10)
    ODB header: auto

Any ideas, help, suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

After playing around some more... I was able to use pid 21d9 and using the e and f equation, and left the odb header blank. That seemed to do the trick. Hope this helps someone else out there.

Thank you so much for your posts. I am leaning for the OBDLink MX+ OBD2. I have contacted OBD Link to verify that they capture all of the PID that I need. They also have their own app for monitoring engine performance.

I would appreciate your recommendations for the Droid and Apple program to get this thing operational with the least amount of hassle/adjustments.

I would like to capture in Real Time: Oil Temp, trans temp, engine water temp, RPM, torque, gear, vehicle speed.

We will be getting a light travel trailer max. 6,000# loaded.

Thank you in advance for your input/thoughts.

Just curious why folks mess around with these formulas when OBD Fusion provides all of these with the expansion pack (minimal cost). Are these figures inaccurate in OBD Fusion?

I bought the Scantool MX+. Pricey but worth it from pervious experience. All the Toyota PIDs were free so that was a plus. I have been messing with it today and so far this is what I have. There was like 6-700+ PIDs for Toyota if I recall when it was downloading them.

I just got it today and it’s works perfect. I had Scantool before so I choose to buy it again. Worth the price I think. Only thing I haven’t found and I don’t thing it has it is the PID for what gear your in. Maybe they will add it later, who knows. It has its own app for both and the PID pack for the tundra is free.

I am able to see most of these PID's on my Pioneer HU and really only the ones that pertain to my model features stock and any additional. The only PID's that can't be selected are the features that my specific vin when purchased didn't have or didn't want the add-ons . I can customize the gauges and what not through the HU/Maestro vehicle settings and I have it programmed to one of the steering wheel buttons to pull up anytime along with the anytime rear camera....

Thanks gang this thread has been a big help setting up the linkmx+ in my 08 5.7l DC. Am running link and fusion on both iOS devices and link on android tablet. Most Functionality is fine but having issues with the tpm network reporting pressure approx 20psi over readings taken with multiple gauges. The “calibrate sensors” function appears to briefly run but makes no change.
I have a support ticket open with OBDLink and will post their reply but wanted to also check here to see if anyone has encountered this.
