I’m looking to replace my rear axle shocks on my ‘00 SR5, it has a 2.5” lift now, and I’m adding new leaf springs to give it another 1.5” of lift, so ideally I’d like to find some shocks to accommodate a 4” lift, but can’t seem to find any. My questions is, does anyone know of any shocks that are cross compatible with my truck, like maybe some land cruiser shocks or something like that?

I'm actually not sure about this. The ICON shocks I'm running in the rear are only good up to 3" of lift.

I don't know whether they're any good but Tuff Country has rear shocks for lifted trucks. They sell a 5"/3" lift for the 1st gen and include these with them

    https://www.tuffcountry.com/more-products/shock-absorbers/

    They're about $120 a pair

There's also some extended length 5100 rears I believe that are used with the RCD kits. That's a 4" rear as well I believe.

I'm in this boat! At this point I'll pay for icon. Not having a great experience with tuff country this far with the taller spindles I've ordered and received. Just from a standpoint of how they packed almost 1000 dollars in parts(2). I'd say you get what ya pay for and go for a better brand shock for the rear.

Did you have to get replcement spindles from them? Why? My truck came with that same lift and I haven't messed with it at all yet.

I did buy replacement spindles from them. The 4.5 inch lift isn't the greatest design with that upper ball joint spacer. It's rusting at a much faster rate than anything else and I've read or talked to people that have had that part break. I just wanna fix it before it fails and fucks a bunch of other stuff up.
I need new front end suspension parts as they are all original so I figure this is best route. As far as the rears I just want mine front and rear to match. So I'm not going with the rear shocks that came with the lift though I know they'll work for a replacement.
