On a 2018 Tundra SR with standard radio does anyone know if it comes with a GPS antenna already installed? I am converting to a Entune w/ nav. And where does the satellite antennas mount? Thanks.

Like I tried to tell tell you there is no GPS antenna there on an SR but it would have been on the roof on the passenger side where you see them in pics of every other truck but ours!

There is allegedly a cable in the ceiling between the headliner and the roof for it to plug in and it is again supposed to be behind the radio on the other end.
I found the radio side connector but never saw the roof connector but I also do not have a GPS radio so it didnt matter too much for me,I just use a Garmin or my phone as needed so I didnt waste a lot of time trying to find the GPS connector in the headliner somewhere.

I did buy the Antenna though thinking I would install it anyway at first and it was not expensive but it hardly seemed worth the effort in the end as I was not going to need it anyway.

I thought the gps antenna was on the dash. The roof one is for satellite radio. Should be easy to add.

If the antenna you have had the correct plug do you want to sell it since you aren’t going to use it? I just want to get this done.

I think yo might be correct,it has been a while now since I messed with this and maybe I should not have even tried to help.
My memory f it all might be suspect at this point but the strangest thing is for sure that the clock will not set unless there is an antenna dedicated to doing so.

I was able to find the info to do mine online though it was a pain in the butt for sure.
Usually Sat and GPS Antennas do not really need to be on the open roof to function too though I am sure they work better if they are.

I dont know where my unused Antennas are even so no I can not sell them really but I ordered online from a local dealer and they always have the parts the next morning before 8 AM too.
They are also cheaper if ordered this way than if you walk into the dealer and buy in person for some other bizarre reason?

I though I remembered a setting on mine to set the clock manually or by gps. I haven’t changed mine out so it was always connected to the gps, but it seems like a bad design by Toyota to not be able to set it without gps.

The radio can be set once the GPS antenna in the dash is installed.

Actually it set as soon as I plugged it in. Did not have to manually set it. Odd.

It’s a setting on the radio to set the clock by gps. Sometimes it will show - - : - - when it doesn’t have a signal.
