I had an august spot and then came across this one and jumped on it no more than 2 minutes after the seller posted it. Transfer was completed today and options have been selected :D

I scheduled my hinge replacement for August so a big trip with the family is currently being planned to wonder around Montana for a few weeks.

It’s a diy build I did after 2 other previous iterations. I’m hoping this is the “final” design I will stick with for a while. You can see some more pics and details on my build thread if you’d like.

Nice work! I’m looking for something simple just like yours in case I need to stealth camp.

The build thread in the GFC forums? Will do a search.

What are most of you running for rear suspension with your Go Fast? I have the Toytec shackles set at 1.5" I'm debating on add-a leaf or the OME Dakar pack.

Icon RXT leafs set at option 3 and CoachBuilder +1 shackles. I have a lot of weight in the rear with my gear, drawers, fridge, and water storage. The leafs seem to be handling it pretty well. I was at option 2 on the leafs when I first got the camper and noticed them starting to flatten out when I added more gear to the bed.

I have the RXT leaf pack as well. I haven’t installed them yet, but I was planning on using the stock shackles. Is there any negatives to using the stock shackles? Or on the flip side, is there any benefit of going CB?

Probably going to run option 2 with the RXTs.

Not needed If you’re not hauling a bunch of stuff. Stock with basic camping supplies is more than adequate.

I guess I could just add them later if I find I need them. I’ll probably have 700# back there when loaded and probably 400# as a daily.

I had the stock shackles and the rxt leafs at option 2 when I got the camper installed. That rode fine and didn’t have too much sag. When I started adding more static weight I noticed the leafs start to sag. The big thing that also happened was the rear eyelet bushing in the RXT leafs started shifting out of the eye of the leaf. That is why I swapped to the CoachBuilder shackles and poly bushings that come with them. I didnt really want the lift they provide, just the stiffness and tighter fit than stock shackles.
