Are those Penske trucks really better?? I've always wondered, since Uhaul was the only option for Cali, mainly... Penske was never available for SoCal moves...

 

Don't know if its been mentioned yet but I just got back from a trip to San Antonio and Austin and while I was in Austin I eat at an awesome restaurant. The restaurant's name is Loro.

Has anyone else eaten there yet?

I just moved back to RR from a 2 year stay in North Austin.

Yeah, housing market was / is crazy. Nothing like when I bought my first house (actually just a few streets from my house now) Did a quick quote arrow search in the thread, where at in RR will you be at if I missed it.

After getting outbid on multiple houses, we were finally able to snag one in the Teravista community. Seems a little bit further out from downtown round rock than we had originally wanted, but love the house and are super happy.

Yeah, when my lady and I were looking we got outbid on probably 8-9 houses. One of which we even offered $21k over asking and still didn't get it. Crazy

 

Public land and Texas really don't go hand in hand.

I say that growing up in MN where public lands for hunting, snowmobiling, ATV riding and fishing was plentiful. State parks and forests were everywhere. My back yard growing up was a 24,000+ acre wildlife manage area as my grandpas 40 acres shared a boundary with it.

 

You are on the north end of RR. I can remember when that was just a mountain area. My youngest lives down the road from TV.

 

Downtown Georgetown is better for entertainment/food IMO, unless you were wanting to be closer to downtown RR for work.

 

The Texas Rangers AAA baseball team is in Round Rock. Minor league games are always fun to go to. And very friendly with kids. That’s if y’all are into baseball.

 

We are actually very happy where we ended up. Georgetown is awesome we are seriously just over 10 minutes to downtown round rock or downtown Georgetown so it worked out great.
