That’s the worst part about killer sliders, coachbuilder shackles and such.
If folks don’t know what you have they can’t appreciate it until you go, no, really, look under this thing and see what it’s all about.

But really these are lower profile mods than 24” -44 offset wheels, Carolina squat, and the like. They’re functional mods that only those in the know are really gonna appreciate. I’m not gonna be the biggest or coolest or whatever. I’m just doing my thing. Goal is definitely not all out attention seeking for my truck. Just an observation. And sometimes people ask questions like where’d you get your steps, I like them haha.
And as an RN I work with 90% females so they all have to listen to me and my truck talk haha. They at least play along. I listen to them about their hobbies too. Most of them appreciate it or let me have my five minutes. I compare it to fancy bag or shoes when I get a new truck mod! And some of them really are into it and get it. Saw a lady in the garage yesterday with a T4R on Kings

    Ha!
    Yeah, no doubt.

I actually had a kid come up the other day and say, “nice truck! You could use some wheel spacers and let the rear squat, for a custom look.”

It was all I could muster to not slap the shit out of him.

Thanks! I’m loving it. Can’t wait to see in person.
Chad tells me that tube bending is pretty one off! The tube/plate hybrid thing he did was a lot more than just one or the other too. He did a nice job blending the two together imo, I love the look and function. He can knock the sliders out down to a science but bumpers are more of a one at a time thing for him. Or two at a time in my case :)

B2205C31-BE02-47DC-A223-65AD838A137F.jpg Got a spy shot! Chad says he may adopt this as his new “style” think it’s cool, unique, and beautiful! He said he hi-lift tested it from the very edge :)
And that little corner piece is copied from rear to front. hammer and heat to get it right! Thor ;)

I’m like a little kid on Christmas Eve at this point.
The LC had a puncture in the “sidewall” so luckily I had my oem spare lying around! Got it fixed for $22 at my local discount since I’ve purchased from them and had a replacement rubber!E1BC9EA1-FE3D-424A-A2B5-DBF3C7CB297E.jpg

That’s what I get for parking in the “smokers lot” at Pisgah. LOL
I don’t even have any bud :rasta:
I had nothing to do with my oem spare so guess it all worked out. Offered it up on CL for $100 glad it didn’t work out.

Putting the camper in and going to the local park tomorrow! Chad has me eyeing some spidertrax now that there is no front fender liner to interfere with. And the tires would line right up with all of the tubing down the side pic. Basically tires would match the stance of the bumpers if that makes any sense. Also time to touch up those sliders again!

I went with the Hooke Road as well, specifically since it was a 3 piece design, since I always had in mind that I wanted to paint the end caps to give it a slightly OEM look. Mine went on fairly easily. The only grinding I did was to slightly enlarge the trailer harness opening, otherwise everything else went smoothly.

I have to say the (powder?!?) coating on mine was very thin and in the week or so I had the middle section mounted, and waiting for my end caps to be painted, I noticed corrosion already starting to come through at some of the joints on the back side.

I ended up putting 3 or 4 heavy coats of bed liner all over it, for added corrosion protection.

I also ended up drilling mine to fit the back-up sensors. Everything installed okay, however, I still need to go through the recalibration process, so I'm not totally sure if my new positioning is going to work.

Hit a deer a few weeks ago, so I'm in need of a new bumper. I keep going back and forth between just getting another OEM one or upgrading to something tougher for the next one I hit. I really love the CBI Baja, but that lead time is rough. Are there any similar looks out there without insane lead times?

It's an RK Sports hood. I coated it with Upol Raptor liner to match the bumper and grill trim.
