I bought a 20 inch tall bench and a three step stool. Bench was too short to reach the center of the roof, and the stool felt awkward. Then the cord hanging off your neck. Must be something to make it more comfortable.

Being pretty short at 5'6", I'm in the same boat. The 20-inch work platforms are not enough for me. Ended up getting a 4-step Cosco ladder, which is okay, but really does not feel all that stable. There are work platforms that go above 20-inch, which might work better for you. I'll probably invest in a podium style ladder, because it has that crossbar well above the top step that you can lean against. I think there are detailers aprons out there with loops to feed the cord through to keep it off of your neck.

You have the cord too tight around your neck fellas.....
Pull enough slack around your neck and behind your dominate shoulder.
I can buff & polish all day when I do and it gets comfortable and stays out of your surfaces while you work.
It took me a few to keep it from tightening but if you leave enough slack it will stay put.
As for the platform or a-frame it’s all a matter of how close you can get without scuffing the side surfaces.

Thanks for the feedback. First time with the new buffer so it's a learning curve to figure out.
