Maybe there should be a vaccine that prevents people from taking their stupidity with them and ruining other places.

Teirhog 41 of Floridas 67 counties are 2a so you can pretty much go anywhere you want, from what i understand the entire state wants to become 2a. I have a couple questions...Do you have kids? And do you enjoy fishing? I have lived in L.A. and San Francisco so i know the area quite well. I have also lived in 8 other states, but have lived in central florida for 37 years. No state income tax. Spent two years in Orlando, when I was a kid it was fine, not so much anymore too much traffic and crime. 35 years in Ocala If you like the slow life...try Ocala. If you like really slow try Micanopy. Weather is primarily 10 months of Hot! Hope this helps

Let's see. Kids are 21 and 24...like fishing, love shooting. Like access to shopping for wife, restaurants, etc. Love the beach. Have a 40 lb cattle dog. Tough house shopping with him as most houses available have white carpet, no fence, and alot of HOA. I'm pressing forward. Oh...love thunderstorms too.

Missouri. I realize it's one of those states that people look @ and say "Missouri! Who'd want to live there?"

All I know is that I've got a job I enjoy doing; wife works online; mortgage is <$850/month (and that's for a 15-year loan), and can pretty much own as many firearms as I want. :)

Ok kids are grown. Ocala is a decent place to raise kids, but after their grown not much to do unless they like to fish and shoot. Not a lot of night life here, it aint Orlando Hell you can be at the beach in an hour anywhere in florida. decent shopping and restaurants. When i first moved her it would rain 30 -45 minutes every day like clockwork. Not so much now rain is sporadic at best. but they say " If you don't like the weather in Florida wait 5 minutes it will change" I don't know who came up with that saying but it's always hot and humid and you can count on that.

:smack:That's the kind of thing you need to keep to yourself. If word gets out the dipshits will ruin Missouri too!

I was born there, and wife still has family there. The Ozarks are beautiful, but I also like the agricultural areas and small towns. KC BBQ is great too! I'd go back, but wife doesn't like winter, so here I am in TX.

most of Virginia is not bad at all, very hospitable. It’s the northern virginia outside of DC that is so dense in population that it outnumbers the rest of the state and caused the elected to go blue

Totally agree with what you said. Sadly, those jackawagons up there control the state and its politics.

I mean they already are ruining Osage Beach and the Big 3 cities (KC, STL and Columbia). Thankfully, FLW has such a bad reputation that it keeps everyone away, so I think I'm safe. LOL

I was originally born in Chicago and want nothing to do with it now for fairly obvious reasons...I mean, there are tons of other places that are aesthetically more beautiful than where I live, but it's hard to beat a place that's cheap to live, where you can own what you want and how many you want, and the people are just plain decent people who will help you @ a moment's notice. I mean, when your wife gets a flat and two country boys will change the tire and won't *let* my wife do the work....that's where I want to be.

True, and it's not even all of northern VA. Wife's family lives near Richmond (Hanover County), where the police force has essentially already told everyone that *if* a firearms ban ever gets put into place, hell no they're not enforcing it.
