Honda motor, cat pump, never run it without water on in the pump, and never use fuel with ethanol in it and you will have a pressure washer for a very long time.

What are you planning to do with your old pump? If you’re going to trash it I’ll take it and pay shipping. They’re pretty easy to rebuild

I love my Husqvarna 3300psi. Briggs and Stratton fires easy every time and runs strong. Always hook up water first and purge the air out of the system, use treated ethanol free fuel, and whatever you do upgrade the hose and gun because nobody ever includes decent accessories.

I’m thinking on rebuilding but not 100% sure on cost efficiency. I’ve breaking my head a little and not 100% sure it was the pump. The shaft key looks like it was sheared. So maybe it came loose some how? I’m still trying to decide what to do. But I’ll let you know.

I rebuilt my last one with a $5 seal kit from Harbor Freight and it worked well. Ended up selling it. Most of the time, if it’s the pump, it’s just hard water buildup that can be taken down with a pick set and CLR.

since you have a Honda it’s super easy to check (and set) timing by just pulling off that cover on the front. It’s possible it skipped time and that’s your problem. If not timing then it could key on the flywheel sheered. It’s not too often things go wrong with the internals on these small engines

I researched the heck out of these things last summer so if you have any questions just ask.

I’ve been looking on YouTube for videos and doesn’t seem too bad. What about the bearing in the pump? You didn’t replace that?

I bought a Green Works 1500 three years ago and use it most weekends to wash my cars and that damn thing won't die. Think I paid under a $100.00 for it. Been wanting a new pressure washer but Green works won't die. Been a damn good pressure washer. Been looking at Griots garage pressure washer. See a lot of guys like the Sun Joe.

The Griots unit is an AR Blue Clean Max 2020....its 30.00 cheaper at Home Depot. I do like my SunJoe SPX3000, but like you, will not replace it until it dies....2 years and still going strong

My pressure washer will not start unless the water is turned on. One other important thing to remember is do not let it freeze. Wrecked my pump because I left it in the unheated garage. Now it always get put in the basement every fall.

Karcher makes good electric pressure washers. The GPM could be a little higher on some, but just change the orfice out in the foam cannon to a 1:1 to get better foam

He just posted a new video on a $210 pressure washer that puts out 1.8gpm. I’m interested but he always has to upsell his add-ons, which could raise the price to $600+

Called the Active VE52, also on Amazon for the same price.

Riddle me this... I have a $1k gift card to Lowes. What pressure washer should I get. and accessories? What is this foam cannon thing?

    Caviots...
    90% for car washes
Electric only, No Gas (I don't want to listen to that motor running while I rub my babies)
Space is at an insane premium, though I have a great spot for mounting.
No, I'm not spending all of it on a pressure washer.

In all seriousness, I received the gift card two months ago for some volunteering I did... and now two months of not having any idea what to get and I need some better ideas. Had this card been HD or AZ it would have been spent long ago (better tool/toy selection IMO).

I used a Sun Joe SPX3000 electric today for about 5 hours washing my wife’s car and my garage concrete driveway. It was my first time to use it. Got it from HD about $160 bucks delivered to the house tax included. I have a 4300 psi Generac but I use it for bigger stuff, plus, it will push you back if you’re not careful and tear stuff up if you aren’t careful. The SPX3000 did great with a foam cannon on the car. I’m not sure the foam cannon does much but I got one to get the grandkids interested in car washing, they like bubbles. It really worked a lot better than I expected, was easy to set up and move around and did pretty good on the concrete. A lot cheaper than the Generac too.

I have a 6500 psi gas unit that I bought from the builder in Texas. It has been bulletproof. I've had it for over 5 years now and no complaint's. We have a bunch of oak trees surrounding our circle drive and they are constantly dropping something that stains the concrete. The electric powered one's are junk for what we need. It has a valve to control the pressure... depending on what you need to use it for. It will etch concrete on full power.

I have the same SunJoe and I like it a lot. When going from a gas pressure washer to electric, swap out the orifice in your foam cannon from the 1.25mm to the 1.1mm....it will improve the foam consistency considerably

I also just ordered the Karcher K1700 portable advanced solution from obsessed garage. It comes with a 3 year warranty which is why he recommends the unit. The build quality of that mosmatic gun and nozzle are something to appreciate as well. Tho this electric pressure washer will not last forever, it can be replaced, but I will definitely keep the accessories and fittings.

If you're only going to buy the pressure washer at Lowes....and you need something wall mountable, your selection will be a little limited. The Karcher Kube is probably your best bet. It would have the smallest footprint of what they have. If I were buying a new electric, wall mountable pressure washer, it would be the Active VE52 (see post 49 of this thread). GPM is more important than PSI for doing cars, and it gives you the best bang for the buck. Foam cannons attach to the pressure washer and work well as a presoak option, and truthfully, are just fun to use. You can spend anywhere from 20.00 to 100.00 on one. I have both ends of the spectrum there. The MTM PF22.2 is the expensive one, and it does work better than the 20.00 Amazon cheapie. Does it work 5x better to justify the expense?.....that is up to the user.

I'd look up 'wall mounted pressure washers' on Youtube and you will get tons of ideas.

    Thanks for the input all:

I’m not real excited about the Karcher, had them in the past and they last a long time, but the specs just aren’t very good. Was really wanting to find the higher gpm. I have a ryobi 1600 currently and I like the compact size but seems like there is no volume and it’s just cheap junk.

I was thinking of doing the AR Blue Clean BC390HSS 2300-PSI 1.7-GPM Cold Water Electric Pressure Washer https://www.lowes.com/pd/AR-Blue-Cl...Washer-with-up-to-1-7-GPM-BC390HSS/5001659277

I actually would seriously consider this one, but I highly doubt Lowe’s will ever have stock on it.
1900-PSI 2.1-GPM Cold Water Electric Pressure Washer https://www.lowes.com/pd/AR-Blue-Clean-1900-PSI-2-1-GPM-Cold-Water-Electric-Pressure-Washer/4439889

Keep in mind that specs are way overstated when it comes to most electric pressure washers. Matt's Obsessed Garage video about the Active VE52 actually shows their specs to be accurate. The SunJoe SPX3000 says its 2030 psi/1.76 gpm.....ummmm...not even close
