Not to hijack the thread but I have a Leer cap for a DOUBLE CAB that I'd like to sell/trade. I'd post it in the classified section but I haven't been here 30 days. Cap came with the truck. $400 or trade for a NICE folding tonneau cover. Fits 04,05,06 DOUBLE CAB. IMG_1624.jpg

Still got it? I'm in bloomington. Since I might be buying a new bed soon, could be a color matched paint job for bed and shell might be cheaper

Hhaa, also, the finest low rust bed that I've found is in Rockville, MN. Any chance you're coming south in the near future?

    It's the exact opposite.

The same amount of overhang you see in that pic, if you put a DC top on an AC truck, it'll come up short by 1.5", sort of like an under-bite versus the over-bite you see in that pic. You'll probably never get the cap to seal properly because it'll come up short on one end or the other.

I mean, I don't think @FirstGenVol's looks bad. He aligned it with the tailgate, which takes your eye off the gap at the cab side. But the fact he can't get it to not leak without a lot of extra work ... I've passed on all the DC shells I've found because of it.
