I read a forum on here posted a couple of years ago about high milage 1st gens. I also did some digging and could not find much. I just rolled over 350,000 miles on my 2003 3.4l Tundra and was wondering if I should consider an upgrade or ride her untill 500,000. It runs fine, just need to replace the valve cover gaskets.

Keep driving it. Highest I have seen in person was 470k on a V8 model, I think the V6 can probably go over 500k.

Nice, go for the half mil mark! Oh and maybe check to see if the valve cover bolts are tight... they were super loose on mine and i wonder if I could've just tightened them instead of changing my gaskets.

I just snugged mine back up, they were loosey goosey again. Darn aluminum heads.

What’s the torque for those bolts?
