    Okay, here's the quick scoop:

    10% off the website prices
    No free shipping
    California Taxes for California residents.
    Need at least 5

It's not a good discount in my book.

    Let's do this:

If you are in at those rates, regardless... Please let me know and ill start it officially.

Thanks for trying. I’m in CA so taxable. Not enough discount for me. Maybe some future time.

Agreed - not a very good discount.

I'm going to have to wait to pull the trigger on these. Theres other parts that are higher on the priority list, and the discount isn't enough to push this up the list.

I refuse to let this die. I've reached out to other vendors. This may take a bit longer, hopeful we get a better price.

Ummm...... I sell Consumer Electronics and have installed several of the hard wired fixed location versions of the Wilson Repeaters and have owned 2 of them myself for RV use.
I have pretty much had ZERO performance gains reliably with any of them ever.
Just my personal experience selling them to end users and then having to pretend they are great?

Also 10% is a pretty crappy discount,if I remember correctly this is a really high markup pure profit kind of line but I cn check and see what the actual Dealer Costs are and let you know to give an idea about what they might actually be worth.
To me they have not been worth much.

    YMMV hopefully!

I’ve used Wilson for years, before 3g. I highly recommend them. I can see two bar gains usually even if originally none. They might not always get you watching videos on Netflix but you can 99% of the time get an email out or make a phone call. (I use for work to send email reports from the desert)

This thread caught my eye. Did my due diligence. Not worth the expense IMHO. Might be ok for some folks.

Definitely not a necessity for the average folk. Very useful for oilfield and people living/working in the middle of nowhere.

    Function before sparkle.
I spent a total of 18 years in telecom, working for wireless/telco carriers but I'm not a tech. I have a Surecall booster in the Tundra and have used many other brands over the years.

Products like this will help you make use of signal that is already there. If you are in an area where there is "1 bar", it will take you to 2-3 (15-20 rssi).

If you are in an area that is spotty - like you have service at the front of the campsite but not at the back, it will help you create stability.

If you are dropping calls or experiencing packet loss, it can help you create a more stable connection.

Just don't expect the equivalent of the old "3 watt boosters" back in the analog days.

I get that. I still think it's a niche thing. Depends on your definition of "remote" and middle of nowhere. 800 miles north of Anchorage as the crow fly's and at the "oil fields" near Milne Point just 3 miles south of the Chuchi Sea is somewhat remote. No cell towers. Satellite phones are neccessary to communicate to the lower 48. All local communication is by handheld radios at the facilities there. Technically if you are crazy enough to head to Prudhoe Bay to see the sights and camp......cell phones are a piece of lead. Obviously most folks don't get that remote.

So to get a little more into my experience with these.

I am an installing dealer for the Wilson and Surecall units which include the WeBoost which are Wilsons.

I use a signal strength meter to orient an external antenna for fixed installations in homes in remote areas and I can in theory aim for the best signal in the area by carrier if need be to get optimum performance from a fixed install.

These simply have not worked for me yet in any meaningful way and no client is satisfied that they do,not once.

So I will not recommend these for anyone ever but again I am thrilled if you have had a positive experience,I am done trying.

Exactly. I’ve been there when only Satellite phone will work and that’s what we did. Paid for by shell. But for the in between these are nice.

I get you. I calibrate Keysight Field Fox Analyzers. Basically a very high tech handheld signal analyzer/ spectrum analyzer /time domain reflectometer ( to troubleshoot cable faults), made specifically to measure comm signal strength. Very pricey. I guess a couple extra bars is ok but if that remote it's good to have a backup way to communicate

I agree with you and like you said it would be good to fill the "gap". But...somewhat sceptical...

There was a GB through TacomaWorld last year, if my memory serves me, they were at 25% off retail for the fleet versions (they come with a pair of bare wires instead of a cigarette lighter plug for power)

    Lots of shenanigans.
If we can get <20% off then I’d be down
