    Lots of shenanigans.
Anyone know of any Ring enhancing program?
Had this dude walk around my property uninvited and take pictures.
My girlfriend was parked in the driveway and he didn’t knock on the door or anything but blocked the driveway.
Any help would be appreciated. I can’t read his badge.

You change homeowners insurance or anything recently? Taking pictures of the roof? Siding? Inside your master bath window?

Yeah, just changed homeowners insurance 2 weeks ago. Called the new company and they can’t confirm if it was them or not until they receive the report back. Most likely them but wanted to see if I could verify it before then.

knowing that they send out a tech to make sure the roof isn’t mossy or damaged and siding looks well I wouldn’t worry too much about this but that’s just me.
Personally I’d still rather have them knock on my door to tel me they need to take pictures so I don’t see some stranger in my backyard.

They should be knocking and showing ID etc.

I'm guessing your girlfriend didn't ask? When my wife or kids are home alone, unless I advise them someone is coming, they don't answer the door for service guys.

I can tell you that home insurance companies and certain inspectors are not allowed to go onto rooves any more in Fl due to liabilities. He could be a roof company also looking for business. Looks to be an inspection though...as mentioned such as insurance change or refinance.

Google Lens says it's this guy, based on the blue shirt I guess. But I don't believe them

She didn't go outside and ask which was probably best.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to wait for the homeowners insurance company to get back with me. Seems like that is the most likely.

I have cameras in the front and a tree blocked his truck so I am unable to see the license plate. I'm trying to upload the video

Sorry, she was inside of the house. Her car is parked in our driveway while I was at work.

I just though of something......any houses for sale that are close? They do take pictures of other properties for comps and appraisals. I'm willing to bet it's either homeowners insurance or neighborhood comps.

Whoever it is, it's super invasive and creepy in this day and age.

I hope you find out and follow up with his supervisors as to why he didn't ask for permission to come on your property and take pictures

Houses are always for sale here, but I haven't heard of anyone taking pictures. I'm hoping it was just my new homeowners insurance but I want to verify. I aGREE @BravoDeltaRomeo I don't appreciate people walking around my property with a female home alone.

Yes if you are getting a new policy they will inspect it and take pictures for the file. Im in Tampa and I know some companies here will take pictures on a renewal. Some inspectors will just show up since they aren't required to look at anything inside a residence any more. They should notify you though with society and crime being the way that it is these days.

I am guessing that this was not a Ring Doorbell,Spotlight or Floodlight Cam where you can talk directly to the intruder through the Camera upon being alerted to their presence which can often make them shit themselves,or so I am told and hoping!?

He had a clip board, so he’s probably legit...lol...we’re in the process of moving, and had a survey done at our old house today. Two cars in the driveway, and the company called to see if anyone was home due to no one answering the door.
I’d agree that is was probably insurance inspector.

If he was taking home appraisal comp shots, he probably wouldn’t have gotten out. Our recent appraisal just used shots off google maps.

Around where I live doing what this guy did without first announcing himself and asking permission might get you face to face with the working end of a shotgun!

No one can so as much walk in the street by my house much less walk around the house without my dogs going nuts. No way anyone gets near my house without my dogs letting me know!
