Obviously a Toyota enthusiast. I don't find him product biased necessarily. I actually find him humble in his opinions because for many YouTube questions he receives he will say he doesn't know and asks his viewers to comment. Even as much as to say not a hardcore offroader and"speaking from what I've read, not from experience" I'd say that's a pretty straight shooter.
Some stuff does seem like filler and for the "sake of making a video" type of thing, but hey, it's its channel and for his subscribers I guess they care.
I watch him, worth a click when the title suits.
At worst, click, it's boring, abort. Stay if you like.

But everyone knows tundras.com is where it's at

I like some of his stuff...other stuff I skip through.

I will say though that I’m glad someone is generating Tundra content on YouTube.

Tundradude34 has some very informative videos. He does product reviews, discusses popular modifications and takes the time to discuss what is coming down the road for our beloved Tundras. He is obviously an enthusiast and makes no pretense about being an expert, a mechanic or engineer. For a guy doing videos out of his home, I think he is doing fine. Like all online resources, his opinions have to be taken with a grain of salt. YMMV.

TundraDude34... some good info, but there's only so much you can watch of him talking from the driver's seat.

GearRunner's accent makes me smile every time. I'd have a beer with him. :)

Gear Runner's been killing me lately. He'll do separate videos for when he orders a part (but won't tell you what it is), receives the part, installs the part, and removes the part. SMDH

Tundradude34 is the reason I bought my 18 Limited. Watching him build his 17 into a Pro made me pull the trigger. (No Pro in 18 and no double cab in 19).

lobed how he showed all of his members mods and was really into the “making” the Tundra yours.

Most of that has changed- is mostly about Buying new- 21 vs. 22 what is on dealers lots.. what the incentives are.. sales numbers.. how the 20-21 engine feels almost as good as his S\C 17 did..

It is funny that Sparks is getting out of the aftermarket business.. no Magnuson anymore.. I think he is getting funding from both Toyota and Sparks.. push new Toyota sales and OEM parts.

I get it- it’s how he makes his living and pays for his toys. I will still watch his videos but this forum is much cooler.

    thoughts?

I tend to take people at their word. TundraDude34 says he receives no financing from Toyota. He is obviously an enthusiast, so I watch his videos with that in mind. He seems to be a good guy and I think he is entertaining. Like most YouTuber's, he is making money off of the number of views he gets. I can't recall if he has made public any financial relationship with Sparks Toyota.

May not be direct but I do think he gets some deals on his toys.

he is a big Sparks parts guy- on every video opening.

But like I said- I like him and will watch. Just looking for more instructional stuff

I watch his video a few times. He has some good stuff to say on what’s going on with the tundra. Me personally I like the forums better but I also like you tube for when I’m doing a install. There are some mods I would have pasted on but because of watching someone do it I was able to tackle the mod. And that’s been for my Tacoma, 4runner, and also my Corvettes. But then on the other hand I like chatting with the forums members because there are a lot of knowledgeable owners that know how to help you out with certain mods.

Is he a salesman? He seems to concentrate on the new stuff. I was having a very hard time finding anything about anything other than 2021 and 2022 Tundras. Looked at several of his videos but... nah. going to check out some of the other channels mentioned here, though.

Used to be much more about upgrades and mods. Not so much anymore. Could be he went that route got his new Pro and is happy with it the way it is!

He seems to be geared toward new buyers and people new to tundras in general, I follow his channel and enjoy it.. Mark seems like a nice guy and, hell, he lives a couple of towns over form me. However, I find this site 10x more informative and useful, at least for what I am looking for.

He often says that his '20 PRO is his "gap" truck and he only bought it to save space until he could get the new Gen. I think he has resisted any mods because he won't be keeping the truck. Resale on his PRO likely higher as bone stock? I'm sure to get some backlash on that statement. YMMV.

I think your right on the resale. His 17 was hard for him to trade. You don't get money for mods. You get fun!

when I was looking for my Tundra I watched him a lot and after I got the 17 watched him with his Platinum Pro build . Plus, when he would do shows about his Dad's truck and such thought they really were worth while.Honestly though one he got rid of it and then got the 20 Army Green Pro I have not watched him much as his whole platform kind of changed and was not as interesting for me.
But for possible new owners and the fact you have someone talking about Tundras still think his channel is a good thing.
Still have his sticker on the back window.

He’s an enthusiast. His content is creeping towards filler/clickbait more n more these days.
I enjoyed seeing his Platinum become a Pro like mine but the fact he leases vehicles and is delicate with his 2020 PRO tells me he’s out of material until the 2022 lands.
I think he means well, he’s certainly informed on the models etc. but there’s only so many times you can click for 2022 news and hear 1 sentence in a 15 min video.
I think he should cover the financial side of things more and possibly look at doing Tundras on Turo or something.
Shit, I’m gonna rent a Raptor for my birthday next week and cane the dibbles off it
