I have an Undercover Flex without the Bed Rails Deck System.
One side stays on just fine, the other side the clamps pop off just about every time I close the cover.
For some reason the rear and middle clamp with not grab on to the edge of the bed rail and stay on.

So I'm considering buying a PT278-34072 6.5' Bed Rail Deck System and getting the Undercover clamps that attach to it to secure the cover.
I emailed Undercover and they will sell me the clamps for the deck rail, but they also told me that the bed cover rail covers the Bed Rails Deck System and makes it useable.

    Is that true?
Will I not be able to use the 'tie downs' if I have the Flex attached to the deck rail?

Could someone please take a few pics of their Flex (I'm guessing Bakflip would be the same) so I can see what I would be ending up with?

I get frustrated every time I close the Flex and have to keep a 1/2 socket and ratchet in my swing case to put it back on..

The rail and clamps are going to be about $225 so I need to know what I'll end up with before I order them.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you..1LL..

Bak uses 2 1/2-3" pieces of aluminum as spacers to drop the bed rail system a few inches from its original position to make room for the cover rails. On my CM short bed there are 5 on each side. Remove the side bed rails, use the factory fasteners to install the aluminum plates, then reattach the bed rails to the aluminum plates with short bolts.
I can take a pic if it would help.

Here's a pic of Bak's system. Cover is their MX4.

I have the Undercover Ultra Flex on my '19 Limited double cab with the rail system. I believe the Flex installs the same as the Ultra Flex. The tonneau rails fit snugly on top of the bed rails but leave the rail exposed for tie downs. The Toyota tie down do not fit well in the side rails, but do fit in the front rail. I use aftermarket tie downs in the side rails, something like this and this. I don't have pictures but this you tube video shows how the tonneau clamps to the bed rail. The guy in the video mentions that he gets a little water in the front corners of the bed, but I do not have that problem.
