Just throwing this out there, but Shine Supply carries Rupes, and our 10% discount does apply to them. I don’t know how Rupes and the Flex compare, but just wanted to make you aware in case they’re comparable.

They are very comparable except for their drive design. Flex being gear driven and Rupes free spinning (except for their "new" Mille). I am very comfortable with Lake Country pads and a mixture of Meguiars and 3D polishing products, hence why I like the idea of flexibility of the 3401. Rupes is engineered as a system and works best with all Rupes products (polishers, backing plates, pads, compounds, polishes). This article from Mike Phillips explains it best:

I am very impressed with CeraKote. I was skeptical when I saw it was 'wipes' but I have to say that it works better than just about any detailing product that I have ever used. My unpainted black door handles were getting bad from the Florida sun, and they look better than they were when new; almost look like they are painted. The wiper cowl area was also grey, and is now 'blacker than a new one'.
IMPORTANT: Read the instructions and warnings! I almost screwed up by doing it in the sunlight on hot parts; was able to save it, but it could have been bad as it started to bead up and formed big droplets. Any screw-ups will be permanent.

I haven’t really discovered a “magic bullet” for cleaning wheels. Just a good cleaner and elbow grease. I haven’t found one wheel cleaner that really breaks away from the pack. P&S Brake Buster is decent, with the advantage of being safe for all types of wheels.

My go-to is Shine Supply Wise Guy. It’s always been the best tire cleaner on the market in my opinion, but a year or so ago they reformulated it to clean wheels also. It cleans the wheels about as well as any other product, but since it’s so great at cleaning the tires it makes it convenient to use for both.

I saw you mention Shine Supply Wise Guy in another post and was going to pull the trigger and get some but then I saw on their site the Shine Supply Cool Guy should be used for ceramic coated wheels. I had friend do some detailing on my truck last November and he didn't ceramic coat it, but he used Graphene ( I don't know what specific product he used) and I believe he said he coated the wheels with it as well.

So my question is in your opinion do you think I would be ok using the Wise Guy product ( about 1/2 the price of the Cool Guy) ? I assume they recommend the Cool Guy as not to remove the ceramic coating? If that is the case I am thinking that what ever he put on in November probably has worn off to some degree already.

I honestly wasn’t even aware of the Cool Guy product. I assume it’s newer. I wish I could give you a solid answer, but I’m just not sure.
I’m also unsure about how quickly graphene will wear off of wheels. I have zero experience with it, and have barely messed with coating wheels.
Sorry, but I’m not going to be much help on this one. All I can advise is that if Shine Supply says not to use it, then I wouldn’t unless I knew that coating was already worn off.

P&S Brake Buster claims to be safe for all wheels, but not sure if it’s comparably effective to Cool Guy. In theory, if the coating is good then you shouldn’t need a very strong cleaner for them.

No problem, I appreciate the reply. If they cost the same I would have gone with the Cool Guy but since its double I have held off.

    Questions in regards to Cerakota...

#1. I don’t have a garage big enough to fit my Tundra so I have to do it outside. When is the best time to apply it; early morning before the sun really gets going or at dusk?

#2. Is it safe if the wipe hits my ceramic coated paint, glass, or chrome bits? I will try my best to avoid it but just in case...

Yes early or late just make sure it won’t rain or sprinklers.

Tape off your paint. Don’t get it on it.

I think I ve neglected these rock chips long enough. I got them all over the hood. (From the previous owner). Is this something a detail shop can fix? If so I m wondering how they would address it so I can be ready when I do take it in.

If it gets on your paint just wipe it off immediately. I’d do it at dusk. Early in the morning, dew tends to form even after drying, and you don’t want that anywhere near Cerakote.

I have fixed a few rust spots on my Tacoma and it worked good. Obviously still visible, but it stopped rust from growing under the paint. I used a Dremel to grind through the rust and clean it up, then applied the paint in thin layers until it was just above the surrounding surface, and then sanded it down very carefully with 1000 and 3000 grit sand paper.
