Some super labor-intensive work here today. Installed these blind spot mirrors. I like the way the driver side works but the passenger side still doesn't quite look at the back wheel enough for parking, but if I move my head I can see the wheel in the stock mirror.

@15whtrd I've used these adjustable ones for years and find them much better than static wide angle mirrors. I can see the rear tires fine. Get mine from O'Reilly's but this one looks to be the same:

    https://www.amazon.com/Black-Frame-Adjustable-Convex-Mirror/dp/B00DRABNZG

EDIT: actually these are 2" and I think I use 3"

I'll keep an eye out for those. I got mine at O'Reillys but they just had standard round in a few different sizes and these. They were like two or three bucks apiece so if I find something better I won't have a problem swapping them out. So yours are 3 inches and adjustable? That sounds cool. Do they obstruct your view if you're trying to use the stock portion of the mirror?

Sucks dude. Someone did the same to me, except it was the driver's side. I hate it!

In the past I've always placed bubble mirrors on the lower outside corner. But with the Tundra I couldn't do that because Toy crappily put the BSM light there. That light should have gone on the inside corner for faster easier viewing.

I debated placing the mirror in the lower inside corner but that location blocked too much other detail and at the time I thought the etched icon for the heated mirror lit up...not. Finally went with, believe it or not, the upper inside and I like it. Yeah it took some getting used to, but there's zero loss of view in the bubble mirrors because they are adjustable (I have them fully pinned to about the 4:30 and 7:30 position on the px and drivers respectively). It's faster to acuire the mirror and surprisingly leaves more peripheral vision for front views. That location also allows the upper right corner to pick up most of the intended distant view to the rear in the next lane. I do keep my px mirror angled down quite a bit so that even the main mirror will pick up cars in the blind spot. But it's not angled down so much that I can't see the entire length of the lane to the right.

I really need a mod that will tap the BSM light and place an LED on the interior mirror panel. That dim little light is damn hard to see sometimes.

I used that meguiars ultimate wash/wax (yellow substance) you recommended in another thread. Then dried, and used meguiars ultimate quik detailer (black bottle) on top of it. Auto zone had some 303 protectant interior/exterior wipes buy one get one. So I picked those up too and did the plastic (handles, mirrors, plastic in between the hood and windshield, and the bumper/grille plastic). They're pretty great. Nice deep black without being too greasy or sticky.

Used it on my X2 on the advice of @TruckinIt and it rained the next day. Zero water spotting and didn't wash away.

@Cat3ILS I'll see if I could pick some of those up and I'll have to remember that upper inside corners of the mirror. That sounds good. Thanks for the insight!

I will have to get a pack of those! I just picked up two bottles of the quik detailer, foam cannon, gallon of mr. pink, 2 mits, 50 microfiber towels, waffle weave drying towel, and some grit guards. Getting ready for Sunday baths!

Installed my Rhino Rack crossbars, my Little Red Riding Hood basket on top, adjusted my RCI bed rack, de-decalled my TRD 4X4 for that sleek and clean look, and adjusted my bed rack for my trip with my son to Moab in a couple weeks.

Anyone wanna meet up in Moab between 4/20-4/25....or anywhere else on the western slope?

Oh yeah, took my son shooting today and got the truck dirty too:)

Those are sweet. They remind me of the trail teams wheels which I really liked. I wish the Tundra TRD Pro came with the same wheels as the Taco/4R Pro wheels.

@Tundracollector Well most of it came off. This is the after pic, forgot the before shot. Going to use some polish and see if I can remove the rest. Not too bad. BUT then I saw this crack in the reverse section of the tail light! Grrrrr!
