I often drive on dark country roads without any street lights , I notice even with highbeam on, the Tundra's factory LED are not lighting up as far and wide as I'd like.

What are the best option to improve that?

I've been debating adding those 7" round LED/laser lights behind grille like this:

has anyone use similar method? what are the best options?

I have 2 30" light bars - one in the hood bulge and one in the valence. There's also mounts out there to put a couple light bars behind the grille. With the 2 I notice a lot more light to the sides, but not much more out front. When I used to have halogen headlights they did a ton out front, but now that I have the LED's it's not that much of a change.

There are many different options from bumper, grill, hood, ditch bracket, to roof mounted lights. Be careful about the beam pattern you select to fulfill your needs to widen your field of view. Spot lights will throw far narrow beams, great for driving straight and fast when there's no corners, or deer. The best lights I've every played with at the Baja Designs XL 80's on SDHQ ditch light brackets. They are ridiculously bright, wide pattern, and small package. I don't see a need to add any additional front lighting on top of them.

I'm exceptionally happy with my Diode Dynamics 42" "stealth" light bar; I have it in the "driving" pattern, and when combined with my Diode SS3 Max fogs and OEM LED low beams, I really no longer have a need to activate the OEM high beams in dark areas. My biggest gripe with the OEM highs is their lack of reach, and the Diode lightbar definitely solves that problem. Assuming highway speeds (50+) the all driving pattern seems to shed plenty of light to the sides. If my intent was night time trail lighting, I would have opted for the combo (outer modules are flood, the rest are driving), but the DD SS3's have plenty of wide spread for me.

With all that being said, I do have a set of Diode SS3 Max's in the Spot beam pattern that I intend to add just to get even more reach in certain situations.

We also have a Diode 30" stealth on my GF's Tacoma, hers is activated by the OEM high beams, and that seems plenty bright as well (they sell the 30" kit for the Tundra also)

Are yall trying to see into the future? I can bearly see a difference when i have my 30” bumper bar on or off if the headlights are on. I have been extremely happy with my LED headlights. I cant see into the trees above me with them but for driving, i have been very happy. I have also added ditch cubes for the ditches and I can surely se a difference when they are on.

This is the biggest difference I've found between a lot of cheaper lightbars and the big dollar light bars; the inexpensive ones are bright, but don't have the optics to get long beam distance (my 4Runner had a somewhat inexpensive curved 40" on the roof and dual 30"s in the grille and my GF's 30" Diode bar clearly outshines that whole setup)

This is true. I did cheap out on the bumper bar because it will be replaced with the bumper eventually. Good call. My ditch lights are Rigid and are much better.

    1 or 2... I lost count
This is very true! It cannot be overstated enough. My cheap Nilight 30" in my grille puts out an incredible amount of light and my low-beams are basically useless, BUT, my high-beams still throw farther (I have LED bulbs but can't find the picture)! Mind you not by much and I'm looking to upgrade at some point so that I can see farther in my high-speed backroad adventures. To put it in a different perspective, my rigid industries flood beam cubes have an identical distance to my 30" light bar which claims to be a spot/flood pattern.

what 30” bar do you have and what are the specs?

I have 2020 sequoia factory led headlights which are plenty bright but do not stand a chance vs my 30” s8 by Baja designs
