I am just glad I did not turn around and walked away after wiping it on. It looked fine at first, then I started working on the engine (I put cerakote on the engine cover) and then walked back to the previous areas to check up on them and saw the big drops forming. At first I tried to smooth it out with a new wipe but that just added more material for bigger drops to form, so I was able to wipe it all off with a spent wipe, and then redid it later in the evening when it was cool with a new wipe.

Thanks for posting about this. I just ordered 2 boxes to do my BakFlip G2. Will post results, good or bad, sometime this weekend.

Did you try it? Really hoping someone will have good results on a Bakflip. It’s been since January and the streaks from my screw up are still present. I still think it can work, just really have to be careful.

I haven’t yet - I need to do a better cleaning on the cover first (and the rest of the truck…) and at this point I’m just going to wait until I get back from Tundras to Sedona. I’m kinda on the fence about whether to go through with it or save the wipes for my wife’s Highlander, since that has a ton of black plastics all over.
