after reading a lot about so 4hi 4lo blinking and cel and stuff i checked the fuse and it was bad , replaced it it last me 2 days and it popped again.

someone told me to check the power outlets since they run on the same circuit so i took the plastic off and unplugged them from the back and prob going to put another fuse and run like that to see if it pops.

but does anyone have an idea what could be causing that specific fuse to blow??

    Open ground somewhere...
Looong ago, I accidentally made contact with the alternator while the battery was still connected, due to miscommunication with a friend.... and it shorted out that exact same fuse.... and it was a bitch to replace... it was a Camry too... Then I learned always double check yourself and if theres any doubt, remove the battery entirely... either way trace wires and double check your engine grounds.

so if i disconnect the battery and put a new fuse and put the battery back on it last for 2 days or more. if i switch them with the battery on the it takes 2 mins for the fuse to blow

well i can tell you that my BSMS system never worked since i bought the truck but never had this issue of the fuse blowing. recently i had the light on the righr side mirror lit up for the BSMS while the one on the left didnt. so idk

even when i press the switch it doesn't light up or anything. but never had the issue of a blown fuse like this since i bought the truck.

dealership wanted 3000 to replace my abs module initially because when i took it i wasnt aware of the fuse and neither were they so they thought the module was bad , imagine if i take it to them.

@1lowlife is right, there is a ton of stuff on that fuse. Since the inoperative BSMS is on the fuse that's blowing, I believe that should be your starting point.

I definitely wouldn't take the truck back to the same dealer. Find another dealer. Your 2018 may be out of warranty on the BSMS (?), but since you have a record of this problem existing previously, Toyota may cover it anyway. It has now become a problem that can't be ignored.

If Toyota won't cover it, then I would have to develop the electrical trouble-shooting skills to find and correct the problem myself. It will be very expensive to pay incompetent technicians by the hour to fix this.

Here are the 7 pages of diagrams from the 2015 wiring diagram manual on the BSMS...
I agree with @JohnLakeman it would be a good place to start..

@GlitchOG if you need the plug diagrams, or any other circuit diagram let me know and I'll post them up..

appreciate the diagrams, so far i disconnected my battery and removed the power outlets in the front and put a new fuse. if it blows again ill follow the diagram and troubleshoot the BSM.
