If anyone knows of an actual good tool or drill bit for widening these holes I'd be all ears... I just smoked my old dremel, and most of one of the grinding bits it came with. And my drill(s) look like they will work eventually grinding but rpm is pretty slow to make much quick progress.

Maybe a drill bit big enough to go straight through?

I used a drill bit in my Dewalt and it did the trick. Didn't feel too good on my wrist when it would catch but it did the trick. Did you see 2 spacers on your pallet? There should be 2 like 1/4 inch thick spacers that mount right to the frame rails. With those on I had no clearance issues

My drill bit worked great, honestly it was maybe a 10 minute job tops with a drill bit. Just slightly pushing pressure onto the bumper. Just when the drill catches, it will put a hurting on your wrist lol

I used a die grinder and grabbed these from harbor freight a carbide bit would be the best/fastest tool.

hopefully the spacers will help you more than me! Good luck

Unfortunately we have rain here and my garage is full right now, however, one thing to note.... the spacer plates got rained on overnight and had a good bit of surface rust this morning. I don't know if they are supposed to be stainless or not, and I don't know how much it will help, but I'm going to spray them with some rust preventative before final assembly.

The drill bit was doing better than I thought it would, but also going to get a small grinding wheel bit.

Well it's on. There's a little bit more of a gap on the passenger side but not sure how to fix that without further egging out the holes and pretty sure I don't care nearly enough to do that at this point. Just going to roll with it for now and see how it goes.

other than opening the holes, any clearance issues?

Actually after reviewing your pictures again, it is at least touching that AC line, and I need to get a better look at the other cooler thing today with better light.

It is flat up against the spacers, but still, if it actually bumps anything it is going to transfer energy straight into that ac line. So, looks like I'll take it back off and at least grind off some clearance for that spot...

So I took it off, cut out a little slot for the AC line, and took out the passenger side support bolt for the cooler coil. It think it is just touching that coil and it appears to have a little flexibility with that bolt removed so hopefully that will prevent any damage.

The slightly bigger gap is still there on the passenger side.
I've read about "Tundra lean"... any way that could be responsible here?
Like I said it's a 10 year old pickup and I don't really care all that much, but if it is easy to eliminate I would. Right now I can't tell whether it is the bumper or something else that is slightly off.

Hopefully I'll have time to work on the lights soon.

Taken from @Jwood562 pics. I would lossen all nuts, slightly jack up the passenger side...tighten nuts and see if that helps. @DVCNick

Good point, I tried just lifting it by hand but a jack would probably be better...

I probably won't have time to mess with it until at least tomorrow afternoon, and possibly next week... Got work and family stuff with Easter this weekend.

Keeping this thread alive and tracking orders.

the first three on the list received their bumpers. We are awaiting on the last three, but I think @trevorstuart24 cancelled his order.

I expect mine to arrive in late April, any luck with contacting RESZ with correcting these fitment issues? I might still have time to advise them if they aren't already following this thread.

Talked to Resz Fab this week. My bumper should be heading to powder coating the end of next week and then being shipped out afterwards. They also confirmed they are addressing the issues and lowering the tabs for the S2s and opening up the mounting bolts more for the frame.

Hoping to have it mounted by the beginning of May!

Ok, so I'm back at it, on the lights this time... I don't know what I did but neither side appears to have any voltage on it now.

Before I took it apart the factory fog lights worked.
Prior to installation I checked the BD lights just hooked up to a battery with the supplied wiring harness and they worked.

So I guess I've blown this fuse? Not sure how that would have happened. Volt meter shows zero volts on either side.

Both the old factory connector and the BD connecter were clearly marked so I know I've got + to + and - to -...

Which fuse is it I need to look at?

I'm still planning to try to get the bumper straighter at some point but haven't messed with that yet.

    Thanks

    yeah that’s the one.

I had a funky problem with mine too. But it was only the passenger. Kept blowing it. Was really weird. Had nothing wrong wiring wise.

just ended up using the Baja harness and tap the passenger side with the driver side and called it a day

Well I don't think I ever turned the switch on between the time I took it apart till now so I'm really not sure how that would have happened.... If you had voltage on one side but not the other are they on separate fuses? I don't see how that's possible either if they're on the same circuit.

Seems kinds weird since the LEDs should be drawing less power then the stock bulbs. Be kinda of pain having to run a relay just for the fogs.

Yeah I don't know. Current situation:
Both lights unplugged and flip the switch on: Fuse doesn't pop.
As soon as the connector completes a circuit to EITHER light (and I've tested both independently) the fuse pops.

So I guess there is a short somewhere else in the wiring that must have happened when I was installing the bumper? I was careful to remove both bulbs before the bumper came off and the wire leads were never pulled/etc.
So I don't know. Should probably start another thread in the appropriate forum. I guess it is a good thing they threw in this extra wiring harness and power connections.

    Hope everyone’s been safe.
Quick question for ya @BigSkyTaco. Did you ever get a shipping notice for your bumper? I’ve been pretty patient, but it’s getting ridiculous at this point lol. Still have to drop it off for powder coating too if I ever receive it.
