Gas pedal acting strange.

    Helping a friend resurrect his 2000 Tundra V8. Build date is 08/99. Problem with gas pedal response. Half way nothing and then 3000 rpm. I have cleaned throttle body. Yes there was a check engine light. Couldn't read codes because of no power to OBDII. Fuse is good. Story is that this all started after hitting a deer. Any suggestions?

    When hitting the deer, did he happen to lock up breaks, causing pistons to seize ?
    Sure would help if codes could be read !
    Jack it up and check that tires can spin freely in neutral ?

    Throttle position sensor? Had a Jeep that would misbehave this way after some mud runs.
