So I just installed a set of diode dynamics ss3 fogs and they were working great as I was testing them. However, when I went to flick on my brights the fogs shut off along with the brights. I initially thought I just blew a fuse but after checking I realized that was not the case... any ideas?

Fogs are supposed to turn off when brights are selected....that is how the factory wires everything up. So, need more info. Did you have factory fogs and just swapped these in with the same wiring or did your wire everything up yourself? Your truck has LED from factory or halogens?

As @fricho228 mentioned, stock Tundra wiring only allows for Low/Fog or Low/High beam. If you install the fog lights in place of your factory fog lights, then this functionality remains. If you do not want this, then you would have to wire a separate circuit for the fogs. That is what I opted to do with my switch pros, so I can utilize the fogs with my high beams.

another option is the “always on” fog mod which is super easy to do

My truck had the standard halogens. I did not do any different wiring when I put on the ss3’s just used the harness to the original plug in. Still doesn’t explain why my high beams won’t turn on anymore.

agreed. fuse would be my first thoughts and there may be more than one location to check. So highbeams do not work now at all, even if fogs are switched off?

Correct, when I flick the switch towards the dash the blue high beams light doesn’t appear. But they still work bc I can pull the lever back and they’ll turn on but as you know it doesn’t stay when you do that.

A question a little off the topic. I bought 2 twelve in stage series led bars from diode dynamics. They are supposed to come on with your high beams except if you have OEM LED headlights ( which i do). Anybody know of a way around this so they will come on with the high beams???

Yeah all I did was pulled my fuse and reconnected it and it was good to go. Fuse wasn’t blown I guess it just needed a restart, super weird.
