That sucks. Dang tree hugers. Definitely don’t have to do that or at least I didn’t.

Yeah. On the CAI I’ve not heard very many good reviews about them on our trucks from the members here and some have tried 2-3 different brands.

Per the butt dyno: It didn’t *probably* make a difference. It did make a difference as I’ve listed.

You’ll never know if your Injectors are out of Spec unless you test them which, at that point, you’ll want to replace them with the 12Port because you have done all the work to pull them for testing.

Does anyone know where I can get CARB compliant long tube headers? Dirty Deeds doesn't say on their website.

I would check with the guys at Underdog racing development. They are knowledgeable and helpful.

I'll call them but they don't have Long Tubes on their website.

Hmm that’s where i bought mine. Let me look.

    https://urdusa.com/jba-headers-00-04-tundra-4-7l-v8-long-tube/

Oh yeah yours is an 06 my bad. I only saw shorties for 05-06 on their website. That’s weird because Keith’s headers 00-06 meaning no differences so i wonder if they are the same?

I'm pretty sure long tubes are not going to work. I'll have to use shorties.

THIS is the best description I've found of the only annoying thing on my truck (other than the turning radius). Even though we have different transmissions, mine does the same thing with the corners. It feels like it just falls flat for a moment. It's always involving a turn and it drives me absolutely bonkers sometimes! I hate hesitation lol. Going to order some 12 hole injectors and try for myself. Thank you for this!

Indeed. Haven't logged in much lately and didn't realize he was gone. Is there a story behind that? Or did a hurricane sweep the island?

My understanding is that he was banned for political commentary. The Mod stated that he had been warned numerous times, and finally ran out of chances.
Perhaps someone will chime in with more info.

Are these higher flow than stock or just better atomization?

Supposedly better atomization but when a dyno test was done the standard 4 hole injectors actually performed better. Several of us are skeptical you'll see any improvement with more holes.

I believe this was the video.

12 hole injectors should help. BUT I see them as a supporting mod to benefit other power adders without actually “adding” fuel. Better atomization just leads to a cleaner burn. What people tend to notice is likely just the fact the 12 hole units tend to be more balanced to each other. Some stock injectors can be pretty imbalanced so some cylinders get more or less fuel because of this.

This is what I'm looking for, as I'm due for rebuild or replacing the injectors anyway. I hope to also reduce the sluggishness in kick down that I get sometimes, as Fred/Heather detailed above. I'll report back if/when I get around to this.

I'll let you know what I think when I get injectors installed in my truck. I do know that when I installed 4-hole injectors from a Dodge Neon into my '98 Jeep Cherokee 4.0l with single-hole injectors it did tighten up and smooth out the shift points in the trans, idled more smoothly, started quicker and had better, quicker throttle response. Those improvements were good enough for me and they were significant enough to be noticeable. Now, does it logically follow that 12- holes will be better for the truck? No, but that's what I intend to find out for myself and share.

Edit: I should note that the six Neon injectors' price was $80 and the practical "bang for the buck" I got for that was a value whereas the eight DD injectors, if I choose them, are ~$350. Whether that price is a value for any benefits or not is the question, for me at least.

    For reman injectors 350-400
Is what you’d expect to pay for decent ones. So I view the price as not so bad on these

I know that's what you keep saying. Lol! I'm a tight-ass though. I may (prolly?) end up springing for them though. I want the old 188k ones out and haven't had the time to dig into what works in the 4.7l's, so it may just become a simply a purchase out of pragmatism and the fuggits.

Anyone know the injector duty cycle for stock vs 12 hole? After the ecu ‘learns’? Do these trucks adjust fuel pressure or hold a constant pressure?

In my mind, 12 port is basically a lot more but smaller holes. Much easier to plug up through time.
Automotive engineers have this shit figured out long ago. Four hole'ers are best all things considered.

When i had my jeep apart i made a rig where i could squeeze a waterbottle of carb cleaner through a spring clamped hose and cycle with a 9v battery. I clicked it on/off but the first couple i did it over a paper towel, so i could see the spray pattern. I had one with a dead spot, but it cleared up after a few clicks.
