    Definite plus there. :oldglory:
Yeah, I'm sure the fumoto is great but these look really stout.

It really is. I just got it in and was surprised by how stout it is.

Just so I'm understanding this correctly, the Valvomax has a little check valve/ball valve thing inside.
When you remove the cap and screw the hose on it presses in the ball and releases the oil, correct?
I ran a Fumoto on my old Dodge for years with no leaks or issues, its either open or shut.
Anything inherent in the Valvomax design that could cause a leak over time?
If not I think I'm in on that one.

That's how I see the design too.
Unlikely to see any leak imo, being stainless and it comes with a threaded safety cap.

Interesting read and I was going to go the Fumoto route but I just ordered the Valvomax. Now just need to get the aluminum hosting and should be ready.

I’ve been reading about various easy oil drain adapters. I am trying to figure out which drains the fastest.

Found this video comparing Fumoto F103 (old) vs F133 (new). The newer F133 with a bigger hole drains 3x faster! (7 vs 21 mins)

    https://youtu.be/db304Qeo4tY

Does anyone have experience comparing drain times of the faster Fumoto to Stahlbus or Valvomax?

Speed matters because I would like to drain oil with PVC tubing straight into sturdy 3 quart juice containers. I will need to switch containers twice, and don’t want to sit there watching forever.

I just picked up a ValvoMax setup. Gonna give it a try as an alternative to the Fumoto valve.

I finally got a chance to do an oil change and installed the ValvoMax. Very well made for sure. Just can’t lose the drain adapter hose and all will be good.

Got my Valvomax in today. Gonna pick up some oil and do an oil change and install this neat little contraption this weekend.
Seems like its very well made and should make oil changes a breeze.

Sure, I can probably swing that. I'll be installing a skid plate as well, so I'll take some pics to show how the drain valve is protected and how the tube routes off the side of it. One thing I'll say right now, the tube could be a little longer (never heard that before, haha).

Skid plate didn't show up so I did the oil change without it. I didn't take any pics since they'd basically just look like @CaptainGrumpus pics above. One tip, remove the safety cap and o-ring before installing so you don't damage them when tightening the valve. Other than that install is pretty straightforward. The real test will be the next oil change when I go to drain the oil.

My Valvomax arrived from Amazon today.

    Looks great.

It did not have a gasket with it. Are you guys using a crush washer, or a gasket with it?

This is the first oil change, i'm at 6K miles on the new tundra.

So I'm not sure if my oil drain plug had a crush washer or a gasket?

I bought the motiv 3 piece kit, and a 27 mm motiv socket, to turn the wrench with.

I also bought a square 10mm socket to remove the plug on the bottom of the housing. Drives me nuts to think of rounding that out with a 3/8's socket extension. The 10mm socket is significantly larger and will fit perfect.

I also have the aluminum housing.

Should get this done in a week or so.

    I'll throw up some pictures.

Even hot, fumoto takes forever to drain all that oil... almost to the point that i regret putting one on, but the ability to drain directly into old oil jugs makes it worth it to me.

IMO the fumoto is totally fast enough
    1) Open the drain valve
    2) Crack open a beer
    3) Start searching for replacement filter
    4) Fetch a couple jugs of oil
    5) Locate tools, paper towels
    6) Get my large piece of cardboard that I use as a mat
    7) Undo the hatch on the skid plate to allow access to filter housing

    8) By this time the oil from step [1] is done draining
    9) Open the bolt on the filter housing
    10) Plug in the drain pipe
    11) Drain oil from filter
    12) Unplug hose
    13) Undo the filter housing
    14) Take the messy housing back to my bench
    15) Wipe it off, put in new filter
    16) Assemble in reverse

Nothing against the Fumoto valve, but I too ordered the valvomax for my Tundra. I've had it installed for awhile now and have changed the oil once with it. Super easy to use, very large opening practically dumps the oil out faster than a newborn can shit in a freshly changed diaper. I'm all for putting America first and whole heartedly support our veterans (veteran owned).

If you are concerned about rounding out the square hole, I honestly believe you are over torque specs, not really good when o rings are being used to create a seal.

I like using the exact size tool, if I can.

In this case, it was easy to order a 10mm square socket that fits perfect. I'm sure the 3/8's extension is working fine on all the millions of Toyotas on the road currently.

But my new Tundra will be treated to a 10mm as long as I own it :)

I will using my torque wrench also. So, never a need to damage anything.

All good, just wanted to make a point that o rings and high torque don't always mix real well.
