    I installed the remote start system without the "mycar" option and it works great. Just use my factory fob. One thing though. Has anyone else experienced when the remote starter times out, the security alarm (horn) starts beeping until it's restarted? I contacted James and he said to connect the white and black wire if I planned on letting it run for more than 15 minutes.
    Thanks.

    I'm more interested if anyone else is experiencing this and if they may have had the same situation and a solution.

    I can’t help anyone at this point. But I have one of those from the group buy I am hoping to install this weekend. Supposed to be completely plug and play. Do you have Any recommendation on which vid to use as an installation tutorial?

    I have my truck unit time out, but no horns or lights flashing. It just turned off. It happened to me while the truck was still locked and one after unlocking the doors, but not opening the doors. I contacted JRT and he told me that it will time out and this is normal.

    @KingsAustin,

    So when you let your truck remote start time out on its own, in its normal state without pressing any FOB buttons, it’ll shutoff as normal.

    If I understand you concisely, you have had the alarm go off at intermittent occasions as well. James said this was normal?

    @mpd13078

    Just like @Zebruaj said, mine will shut off after about 15 minutes with no horn or lights. I reached out to JRT and he told me this was normal for it to time out and shut off. I am not having any other issues going on with my remote start. sorry if I confused you with my reply.

    Hey for those that bought remote start w/ the car app. Which app did y’all download: the my car control or cl6 app?

    My install was a bit problematic, but through no fault of the installer (me) or the supplier (James). Turns out I had a faulty EVO-ONE box. James was incredibly helpful in helping sort this out. He even out me in direct contact with one of the tech experts at Fortin (the manufacturer). James sent out a new unit, I swapped with the defective unit, and everything worked like a charm. It was only afterwards that James asked me to send the old defective unit back to him.

    As far as the timeout and app go, I've run the truck until timeout after starting with both key fob start and app, and had no flashing lights, horn, or alarm issues.

    I downloaded the CL6 app, and after a brief setup issue (my error), the unit works just as advertised.

    My only question now is that the EVO-ONE with MyCar app has an option for an optional AUX accessory. I love the idea, but haven't figured out what else I would like to control remotely. Any ideas or suggestions?

    Did you ever find out if there was anything to use with the optional aux accessory?
