Hello all. Just another Illinois scumbag coming to ruin your state ;)! Just kidding, but in all seriousness I'm moving to fort Collins Colorado next month. I cannot wait to get out of this soul sucking hell hole called the midwest. Anyways, I'm going to be looking for some easy to -moderate offroad trails. I'm basically looking for overrated fire roads, cause I'm broke and dont want to actually mess my truck up. So basically dirt sight seeing roads near fort collins into the mountains. Anyone got any good trails? I'm also a hunter/outdoors man so any Colorado tips is much appreciated

Since you will be in the Springs area. About the only 3 or 4 trails that I remember that won't give arboreal pinstripes are Mt. Herman Rd, Gold Camp/Old Stagecoach Rd, Phantom Canyon and parts of Rampart Range road. If you stay to the main trails you will be fine. In a lot of places they are 2 vehicles wide. We tend to get some decent rain in June, at least most years. Rain can turn to snow at higher elevations.
