    So the sun comes out after a rainy morning. I rush home as the skies turn to robin egg blue, anxious to experiment and be able to maybe add rather than always take form this forum. Get home, dog barks like the dickens (sorry Ziggy, this man has things to do!) Dig the pressure washer out of the back of the shop, drop three things and knock two more off of a shelf. Get it out to the new 3/4” full bore hose bib, get hooked up, and ready to try new MAATC Snow Foam cannon, my first venture into foam cannons. Alas, no gas (well any usable gas as some boiled cabbage was on the lunch menu, but I digress.) Get the gas can, roll over to the neighborhood gas station, fill up the gallon jug and top off the tank while I’m there, might as well be efficient with time. By now an hour has elapsed since I first got home. Made of my secret mixture, form a secret formula by way of War Machine, less the secret ingredient ONR which is in transit from an outpost of the netherworld. Had to fool around with the nozzle and knob to get some coverage, then away I go. Neighborhood is about to call in the fruitcake wagon, I’m jamming and sing to some old Boz Skaggs, Ziggy is going bats... crazy and I’m good with life. Then I notice both driver side tires are going down fast. Criminy, I’m fixing to be in a tight spot with only one spare. So I throw the fan cannon in the flower (or used to be flower bed) and start spraying of the truck. I’ll do the 40 mph drying method getting to discount tire. But I’m smart see, I’ve got my “go bag” again courtesy of War Machine. I’m going to dry the truck with my new Griots monster towel. Only when I get there, the truck is still dirty. But no worries, I can was again tomorrow. I’ll just clean the inside and the glass. Wrong, I have decided the Mequilars wipes are just not for me, they leave spots behind and I figure out no sense cleaning glass if I’m going to wash tomorrow.
    At least I now have new tires on a dirty truck and someone is going to get some pretty decent Michelin’s with some really clean sidewalls.
    I’m beginning to think I’ve gone down a rabbit hole with no escape, but at least my dirty truck looks better than most of the clean cars in the ‘hood. :D

    Great story!! It is quite the 'rabbit hole'...and your neighbors may indeed think there's something wrong with you.....until they see how good your ride looks. Music always makes the process even more enjoyable and therapeutic. Not sure what you plan in using for glass, but I've settled on Invisible Glass...works well and I can get it at Autozone.

    :rofl::fistbump:

    Welcome to the sickness. Have you gotten to the point where you’re judging swirls on all the vehicles you see in parking lots, and planning out how you’d detail them in your head?

    That occurs when the sickness has reached an advanced stage

    I was next to a black Tundra the other day at a red light. It was set up almost exactly like mine, except it was covered in swirl marks from automatic car washes. Broke my heart.

    Be careful....it advances quickly and without notice...before you know it, you will cringe when you see the local 'swirl o matic' car wash
