Hey gang - I’ve enjoyed reading pages and pages of posts over the last several months and have really gotten excited about updating my wife’s 2014 Sequoia SR5. It’s been a great vehicle with no issues (knock on wood) - multiple family trips always arriving safely and in comfort. Almost no “mods” to date - k&n filter, the Bosch hepa cabin filter (which may be a waste of money but so far seems to work) and headrest DVD players for the kids.
Not unlike other posters that I’ve seen - I’d like to update the headlights and maybe a TRD grill (the chrome is a little much for my taste), but I’m going to need new tires before long which may give me an opening to snag some used TRD wheels/tires off of Craigslist, etc., (dumb question, but will a 4runners 17” trd wheels fit)? We’ve also had a few scratches to the front and rear bumpers from other drivers over the years so I’m also interested in seeing how tough it would be to switch out bumper covers or if anyone had recommendations as to where to purchase prepainted ones? TRD or other sway bar options are also of interest as are the gas shocks for the tailgate lift - I constantly nail my head on the trunk gate and would like to switch out for something stronger (would the 16” work)? Sorry for all of the questions - looking forward to the “build” and thanks in admire for the input!
