So I’ve got a 4.7 133k miles has a cam seal leak along with valve cover. I can do the valve cover but I don’t want to even look at the cam seals. This engine has never had any major repairs nor issues but I figured something could be done to save money while cam seals are replaced, I’m a bit confused though. Does the timing chain have to be replaced? If so where do I buy one I’m trying to stay under $1000 private shop but I’m pretty confused because my 4.0 doesn’t have any of this stuff going on

There is no timing chain, only a belt on a 4.7. You'll need to change the tensioner, belt rollers and water pump while you're at it.

You need to do the TB at the same time as the Cam Seals. Might as well have a shop do the VC at the same time. Your vvti engine requires a certain skill set to do the Cam Seals. Not as easy as the non-vvti which getting to the Cam Seals and doing them requires lots of time but is easier without technical shtuff.

You might be way over your $1000 to have it done.

After doing some research I realize my TB has been changed along with all the seals four years ago. Oil on is the only thing that hasn’t been touvhed
