    It’s fine, I either fold over and HST or HDT one layer then put smaller HST over that to taper the end down.

    What kind of wire exactly?

    Termination usually refers to connections not sealing a wire not being used and this sure likes it will do the job but also looks like overkill to me for inside wiring unless exposed to water somehow.

    If you do use heat shrink and get adhesive lined then a single piece will adhere to itself to seal the end too,just pinch it together while still hot and juicy.
