For a temporary or poor man's solution, this thing is amazing. I highly recommend it. I put magnets on it and put it behind the muffler when I park the truck in driveway overnight. Its extremely sensitive. Less than 20 bucks.20210317_190639.jpg

Just installed my Pro Comp skid plate, did a little drilling and alot of cussing but came out really nice. Attached some security bolts in front, have to get the security socket to torque them down.

It's really sensitive. You tap the exhaust tip gently and it goes off. I barely touched the rear cats and it goes off.

I'm going to order some pattern keyed bolts. The tips for the torx with center pin can be purchased just about anywhere....kind of defeats the purpose of them.

Hopefully the thieves don't carry security torx bits, 3/4" sockets, and wrench with their sawzalls.

You will not regret it. A light tap on your tailpipe and it goes off. Impossible to not set it off if they try to cut pipes.

Does it become like the other beeping/annoying alarms in a parking lot that everyone ignores? :)
Can it be removed and smashed to disable?

I like the idea and I may order one to mess with it.

Yes, however, i use it at my house on my driveway so it wont be ignored. I am sure it could be smashed, if they find it. I place it toward the back of the truck behind the muffler, you wouldnt see it on your back or belly while grabbing cats. Plus, by the time you crawl out, look for it, find it, smash it, all the while something is screeching at you, it would take at least 30 seconds, by that time, i am already pointing my Sig at you.

Plus for me, once i get the plates on, i will repurpose this to either my excursion (which was already hit in front of my house 6 months ago) or use it on my Ebike.

Yep. Big box stores don't really qualify as security screws when you can get the tips at wally world or Auto Zone lol.

    To get
For tylers plates, you need the 3/8-16 X 4", which i got from screwd. These go in the back. Since they came with a pack of 5, I will try to use these in the front with the TRD plate, I got some nuts to try it out.
