A cousin of mine from Futuna. A piglet cooked in a smothered way with breadfruits.

At Uvea (Wallis Is.) with my students we cooked a piglet with yams and taros in an earth oven.

The ‘hua’ is prepared in a wooden trough (kumete). It is made of manioc flavour melt with water and cooked with incandescent stones. The resulting paste is cut in pieces mixed with coconut milk. When it’s 61241099-6E5C-4A61-8820-CBC6FE2E3BDE.jpg is done the ‘hua’ is wrapped in banana leaves. We eat it with ripe bananas.

Welcome to the forum! The food looks delicious. It would be awesome to learn more about food, and other things from Wallis and Futuna island! I'm sure that it is visually stunning there.

I would love to see some more pictures of the culture, scenery, and people if that is okay.

Oh yeah, and pictures of your truck too. :p
