What’s up guys. While installing a rear seat cover I noticed that where the headliner meets the top of the rear window there is a pretty nice size gap almost as if there is a missing trim or the headliner is to short. Anyone notice this ? Basically nothing is holding it up. Been a mechanic going on 40 years now and can tell it’s not right. 2021 Trd pro tundra 2 weeks old.

Normal. My 07 and now 14 had that same gap.

No trim piece in mine but the headliner touches the back and is a little tucked in.

Thanks guys feel a little better. I have been going over this thing with a fine tooth comb because the passenger side front grab handle was held on by 2-3 threads. I found that very odd but being in the field I know things happen so want to make sure. Thanks again.

Mine is the same and was also wondering if there should be a trim piece.

Whelp glad I read through threads, my Tundra is a week old and I literally just noticed this. Glad I read here that I’m just part of the family before I called up the dealership!

Mine is the same. They should have ran a black piece of trim there.

When I purchased my '18 it had the headliner coming out from under the overhead console/moonroof control area. Took it back to dealer and they actually replaced the headliner under warranty. Later on in my ownership I was cleaning the inside and noticed my headliner that had been replaced had the same issue in the back. Basically was told it was normal, and have had no issues with it since.
