I did vinyl over the old clapboards on my house after wrapping with Tyvek. No issues I've seen in the 10 years it's been there.

The window trim is a little than it would typically be but it's not super noticable.

Thanks for the reply! In the back of my head I’m just wondering if the hardboard could ever rot underneath the vinyl, but I guess if it’s wrapped properly, it shouldn’t be an issue.

No kidding. I called the plumber that day, but the earliest he'd be able to make it out woulda been last Friday - a full 2 days into the rain.

We have a sump pump in our basement; and when we get a sh*tload of rain at one time, it does fine draining it...but it drains it through the aforementioned pipe, so that would have truly been a huge issue.

I could have taken care of it, but it would have meant hauling butt to Lowe's and buying about 50' of PVC to run the drain out the door and down the hill. LOL

Got an assortment of these plants from the nursery this weekend. Landscaper will be planting them tomorrow. 15 in all, plus 3 trees.

I started phase 1 of "Operation Rat F$#k" : putting hardware cloth around the side deck. It's about 6 inches down and 3 inches across in an "L" shape. Once I finish, I'll trim it out to hide the washers and screws.

Also went back to my favorite plant nursery and bought two Valentine roses for our front planters and a pink Rose of Sharon for an area in the back that had some plant death from the freeze.

Home Depot. They come in several colors, I got brushed nickel to match my hardware. I also used the better screw in drywall anchors, not what came with it.

What do ya'll suggest to hide the wires behind TV, wall mounted speakers, etc?
I'm looking at options to hide all cables when I get a new TV. I told the wife the best solution is a bigger TV to cover more space, but I'd like to Hide the Apple TV box, sound bar cable. I've been looking into a few smurf boxes and recessed outlets but wondered if anyone had good suggestions?

No progress with "Operation Rat F$#k". Had a VA dental cleaning in Austin and when I came home, my wife wanted to drive out to Round Top - it's a town nearby that has a big antique show every year. We're talking miles of antique sellers from all over the world. It officially starts next week but they are getting set up now and have no problem selling early.

Went there, came home and planted her Kumquat tree. It was a bitch to find but it finally got delivered. Even has little fruits on it.
