ScanGauge now monitors tire pressure and temps

For those that have the ScanGauge, it can now read our tire pressure and tire temp.

Greetings @Tundra234 thanks for posting this information. I configured our ScanGauge 2 to display the Transmission fluid temperature today upon discovering your post. Do you have a ScanGauge and did you get an opportunity to configured it to display tire pressures and temperatures? Cheers!

There is a contact submission form you can use to inquire at the very bottom of the first link below. As others have mentioned in other threads they are surprisingly responsive. I plan to inquire once I have had a chance to re-review the report I printed out from the TechStream software which lists all the various parameters as I recall there were a lot!

Upon reviewing the TechStream vehicle diagnostic report, I am not seeing an oil pressure parameter listed. This is in line with @JohnLakeman's comment (https://www.tundras.com/threads/oil-pressure-gauge-with-pic.12351/page-2#post-1166842).

Out of all the parameters listed on the report, I am surprised to see there is nothing else I would really care to monitor on a regular basis. I am going to configure the ScanGauge 2 to monitor tire pressure as mine has the (4.42 firmware). Too bad I can't monitor tire temperature as that requires (4.5+ firmware) and don't see myself paying $25+ to have it sent in to be updated.

According to the Haynes manual, the oil pressure at idle for 1st Gens should be 4-5 PSI for both v6 and v8 engines.

It seems fairly common to feel as if the oil pressure is a little low for comfort but from what I've found online it's normal and within the expected range. https://youtu.be/iLqYs4aIErk
I really enjoy watching that this guy's videos especially when it comes to working on the 2UZ-FE engines and associated drivetrain.

Also, I would imagine the engine coolant and oil temperatures would be relatively consistent along with transmission fluid temperature given their proximities with some degree of variance considering external air temperature and engine/transmission loads. Glad I am now able to monitor the transmission fluid temperature to confirm this theory.

 

I already have a Scan Guage II. Anybody here have the codes I need to make it show trans temp and coolant temp?

 

I think the engine coolant temp is included in the pre-programmed parameters. As for the transmission, do some searching here on the forum. The coffees are posted in a few threads already
