Great lights and daisy chain setup however the 3M products they send to mount them don’t work (I have seen other complaints on this) and while a small issue, the alcohol pads they sent were so old they were dry. If I buy and pay for an “all you need” kit then I dont expect to have to stop what Im doing to go buy everything on my own to install. @mattgecko put together a kit, market it and sell it. Your bed kit and hood kit were much better.

For the front ones that is possible but the rears it pushes the light to far under the seat. Still I wanted a more flush look so went and bought my own strips. If i could do it over I would have just let Matt custom build me a setup.

The tape itself is fine. The issue is that it need to be thicker because it sits in a recessed area on the back of the light bar.

The tape eventually failed on my fronts. They’re zip tied now. The Velcro strips that also came with the kit are still working fine for the rears. I’d almost recommend double sided gorilla tape for the fronts. That stuff is nice.

I taped and zip tied mine over two years ago (Vleds) and have had absolutely zero issues with them. The rear ones might be pushed in just a hair further, but their so bright that it did not matter...... I'd choose this again if I had to do it all over again.

I went and bought supplies and made it work fine. I however should not have needed to do that. I am glad some people had good a experience. I however did not and have seen several other similar complaints. The lights themselves are good. After having done Matt’s bed and hood light set literally a day before the vled set it shows the difference in attention to detail in building a quality kit.

zip tied mine. I added 2 more daisy chains to the rear of crew max seats so I can see/grab my stuff there. Total of 6 vleds foot lights :)

Use the Velcro piece they supply and just stick them to the carpet portion under the back seat.

Did you just order 2 of the interior bars since it's cheaper than another footwell kit?

Call VLEDS. Their customer service is excellent. I would be surprised if they don’t find a solution to make it right for you.

Odd. Are you not cleaning the surface with ipa prior to sticking? Mine are going on 2 years front and rear with no issue.

Yup. I then went and bought my own with the much stickier backing and worked great.

    Soon...
I'm kinda glad to see that this is a thing. I recently put these in and the fronts are great, but the rear fell off within hours of install. Mine came with 3M velcro tape and the velcro sticks to the seat fine, but the adhesive isn't sticking to the light. I've been thinking about using gorilla glue to glue the tape to the light.

Get a roll of the VHT tape from Lowes...it is thicker. The problem that I saw is the tape that comes with them is really thin and sits below the edge of the light due to it being recessed.
