Playing around with my newish Brother sewing/embroidery machine making some patches. Had to go to Joann fabrics earlier and grab some supplies ... weird being the only guy in there not forced to be there by his wife o_O

Let me know! Right now I’m just playing around and practicing techniques.

It’s a decent machine for the price. I actually bought it as a sewing machine since I needed a modern one and figured I’d pay a bit extra for the embroidery feature “just in case”. Of course now I barely have used it as a sewing machine

Got it mostly cleaned up ... had some issues with my top thread up top so the bottom thread came through (black) but overall not bad for a just learning newbie who's never embroidered anything before. Tonight’s exercise was getting the patch edges mostly right which is a 3 step process ... thanks YouTube!

There's a guy who goes to my church who was a home ec teacher for many years. Every time he goes to buy a new sewing machine, he literally has to stand between his wife and the salespeople to get them to talk to him instead of her.
