Probably added insurance to keep from damaging the concrete if he drops the weights.

We used 2x6 for the frame for added strength and to have a bit more wood to screw the ply boards into.

Edit/clarity - we needed to build a platform due to the slope in the garage.

Had ADT come out. We had a 12 year old Brinks system that we had installed a couple years after moving in. ADT took over Brinks a while back. Our old system started beeping and giving us trouble codes that it wasn't communicating with ADT. Tried troubleshooting over the phone with them and they were going to send a technician out at $107 for the call and then something like $24 every 15 mins he was here...Instead of paying all that to fix and old system I just said I wanted them to upgrade our system and convert it to cellular instead of using the landline which is where the troubles were. They replaced our keypad and converted to cellular and swapped all our sensors over to the new system except for a glass break that wouldn't connect, so they gave us a new one. The new keypad is much more advanced that what we had. We can now add home automation or cameras, etc later on if we choose. I may end up replacing our Arlo Pro2 cameras with ADT's so everything is integrated. Added 2 smoke detectors as well to replace the old 9v battery ones we had in the house. Overall pretty pleased with it, but the tech could have done a cleaner install with the box.

We have that exact sink (I think) and love it. Only downside is, I'm OCD so keeping this thing shiny is my downfall haha. But its an awesome sink! Here is a little "before" and "after".

How has that faucet been for you? Looks like it's the Kraus Bolden? How long have you had it?

The faucet is great! It came with the sink and is the Bolden. Definitely recommend!

Awesome, I ordered the Britt the other day but I think the faucet head is the same. My current one sucks and I've put off getting a new one. Glad to hear you haven't had issues

Nice... we went to a single basin with the drain offset to the back/right and it’s great. Ours is an Elkay with the farmhouse apron front.

When changing my dryer motor a couple days ago, I saw my hose to my washer threatened to ruin my laundry room. Hurried up and changed it out with some new ones.

Drywall guy finished up sanding in my basement tonight. I’ve been dreading painting for a while but gonna try to get that knocked out this weekend.

Family Room will stay with the painted black ceiling. Bathroom ceiling will need painted and will go with some type of drop-down ceiling in the bedroom eventually to help keep the heat in a little better in the winter. Not In any real hurry to get the bedroom ceiling done as that will be storage for another 10+ years. It will be bedroom #4 anyway.

I’ll post updated pics when the floor is down in a few weeks.

Removed the wall that separated the sink area from the shower area.... opened it up nicely. Replaced the regular door with a sliding barn door.... overall it turned out great.

That's similar to ours. We had a wall dividing the vanity from the shower and toilet. We removed that wall and then turned the toilet against the other wall. This also gave us a little bit of room to expand the shower. Our ceiling was also a foot lower running across one side with a soffit that contained the ac duct. We removed the soffit to gain an extra foot of height and then will relocate the ac vent into the ceiling. Tile guy thinks he'll be done with the bathroom floor and shower by end of day next Wednesday. We're hoping to have the rest of the bathroom and house all finished by the end of March. Been a long process that we started back in November.

Yes sir. I got the Henry's 100% Silicone roof sealant. I bought it from Home Depot. Not a hard job just a little time consuming.

I power washed with TSP in the power washer. Then I waited a day for it to dry then placed a coat and let it dry for a few hours and did a 2nd. Never used it before so I am hoping it holds up. Saved a bunch of money doing it myself

Couple of updates. Enterence to master bedroom from hallway got tiled today. Subway tile started in the shower and the toilet cement was leveled out. Decided to lay the bathroom floor tile in a herringbone pattern once we get to that point.
