I have both operational on mine. I have know idea why he would have cut the backup camera to install a brake controller.

    1 or 2... I lost count
Barely a mod to the truck, but increased my convenience factor, so maybe it helps someone else who is as lazy as I am. Ordered some magnetic charging cables off Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WFXCS1R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8. Now when I get in the truck and set my phone close enough for the magnet to pop on and when I get out of the truck I just have to give it a gentle tug and it falls right off. No drama and no more messing with lining up the connector to plug in. I paid a little extra for the cables that will also transfer data because I use it for apple car play and it works the same as before so I'm happy.
Side note: it also cleaned up desk space since now I only need one cable to charge any device that I can put one of the little connector plugs into.

Yesterday I replaced the original Donelly branded rearview mirror with an actual Totyota one I found locally for $10. It took about a minute to replace it. My original mirror reflective surface was delaminating on the bottom and the frame looks like it was going to break near the the day/night flipper. I don't care for the auto dimming mirrors since they never work right.

Today I mounted and wired my fog lights. When I bought my Morimotos back in December, there was a free fog light promo. My truck didn't have fog lights so my plan was to sell them to offset the cost of the head lights. Problem is that the fogs turned out to be pretty cool so I decided to keep them. I found some factory housings locally for 15.00 and decided I'd rather wire them with a switch rather than through the stalk. Anyway, it all went in today. I also hardwired my Scosche charging phone mount. Jumped it off of the back of the cig lighter using a spare female cig adapter. Figured I'd get that done while I had the dash apart.

I did take a pic of the fog lights on. Just need to upload to imgur so I can post it.

ETA: Nope. That's a crappy pic. I'll get one tomorrow with better light. Sorry

Spring is upon us in Minnesota!

Cleaned and protected the Tyger tonneau cover. And swapped the PCV valve (no, nothing was wrong. The original still rattled).

Does your Tyger tonneau cover leak? I had one that just leaked all the time even after using pipe foam to seal it up

New to the forum and to Tundra ownership. I bought this a few weeks ago. 2012 with around 50,000 on the clock. Original owner kept this thing as a creme puff. I was able to enter the vin on toyota website and see all maintance records performed by the dealer on time. The perfect used vehicle!

    20210213_125632.jpg

    I have added:
    - OE 20s with slightly used KO2s. The truck came with some aftermarkets and some half worn KO2s. I personally wouldn't have picked those wheels, so it felt like someone else's truck.
    - Installed shell (provided by seller)
    - Soldered shell harness into tail left light harness
    - Replaced trailer harness with oem $$$(several wires were sliced open and corroded from the shell installer years before:rolleyes:)
    - New struts on shell window
    - Drain/fill WS in trans
    - Stubby antenna
    - All Black TRD shift knob
    - Leather wrapped OE steering wheel, used but good shape (selling the mint urethane wheel)
    - Color matched paracord wraps (thanks T forum)

    20210222_111017.jpg
    20210309_201207.jpg

In the spirit of this thread, I just installed some 3M film to protect the top of the tailgate from the weatherstripping on the shell. Good product. I could already see the abrasion on the paint after a few weeks. I have no idea how the PO prevented this.
    20210308_205706.jpg

Notice the Sienna in the reflection. We are a Toyota family now!

Installed body color matched mirror plates and door handles thanks to Sparks Toyota. It gives the truck a more upscale look vs. the Base.

I snagged a set of Trail Edition boxes off Craigslist and got them installed. I also replaced my carrier bearing and rear U-joints.
