Please keep me posted. I am interested in seeing how these cheaper heaters perform. The other brands are almost triple the price and likely made with similar components. Do you have a truck camper yourself?

I'm currently about a month away from an AT Overland camper. I had a GFC on my old truck though and the Mr. Buddy made a ton of condensation in that, even with a fan.

Nice! Those are awesome. Back in the day I use to dream about one I saw on a Tacoma. It was the Nemo branded Tacoma...4 Door Long Bed...was beautiful.

Sweet build, I recognized your truck from IG. If you're still in MD and ever want to explore hit me up.

Just now seeing your comment. We moved to Chicago last year. Life of an Army Soldier haha. I really wanted to go out west but they said Chicago was my only option.

No real changes to the truck but I've been on a few road trips.

    Utah is the best!!!

Camping in Moab!!! Love, love, love this setup. Before heading out on this trip I was thinking it was time to move on to something else. That all changed on this past road trip.

Just dropping in to post a pic. Also, I removed the camper for a few months. Another great plus for the FWC setup. I can remove the camper during the summer when I'm too busy to go camping. Army Life!!

What did you make the platform out of? Currently looking at a swift too.

Just now seeing this post. I made a platform out of some 2x4s and a sheet of wood. It was super basic. As long as the platform is about 4 inches tall it will work. My very first platform was a pallet that I found. It worked for a few months and then I needed something stronger.

It was time for new tires on the truck. I went with Toyo AT3s in the same size (295/70/18). I loved the last set of Toyo's so this was an easy decision. Notes on the past set: Zero flats, Logged 40,000 miles (probably 5,000 off road), minimal noise, and they balance easy.

A few weeks ago I did some exploring in Upper Michigan. This picture was taken on a route called the Adams Track. The area favors ATV's but it's still a fun route to drive.

    OP - 607,
Awesome Truck, absolutely beautiful photos!! I am considering removing my swaybars as well.
Did you do all that driving/exploring without the rear and front swaybars?

Love this setup! Would love to hear your camp spots out West. Any interior photos of the storage setup from the original post? Thanks

Recently added a softopper after selling the FourWheelCamper. I needed a place to store some gear and this was the best thing I could come up with.

Pros: Easy to remove, Super light weight, has a safari mode
Cons: Not fully water/dust tight, easy to cut the material, price(over $1k)

Thanks! Photography is the passion. I recently put a deposit down on a Topo Topper. Going to run with that for a while and see how I like it.

The main reason is that I planned to order a flatbed version and mount it to another truck. However, things change and I've decided to hold off building a rig like that. For now I'm going to mount a Topo Topper to the Tundra and use that for a few years. Once I retire from the military in January 2025 I plan to build the flatbed camper version.

Cool, I have a fried with a FWC on a 1st gen Tundra, and while I like all the features, I dont like the size. Leaning towards a Topo as well.

    Hey @codename607 - beautiful rig!

You strike me as someone who would put some serious brain power and effort into dialing in their cockpit… how did you integrate your iPad into your setup?

Thanks! I have it mounted to the Rago dash mount. It fits perfect and doesn't block any view from my driving position. I'll have to post up some photos.
