I’m looking to add a carbon fiber heat shield to the titanium exhaust on my bike. Sounds dumb but I keep melting my shoes on the pipe nearest to the shifter. So my question to any fab guys, how would you do it? My first idea was to weld small nuts in place and simply bolt it on..not much luck finding someone with much interest in welding it for me.
Second idea was to drill and install revnuts, haven’t gotten a lot of good feedback on that.
    I need help.

People don't want to weld it since it's titanium, and probably most flat out can't or haven't ever done titanium. I'm not a fan of rivnuts but that'd maybe work. I'd probably do like a hose clamp that holds a tab or it bolts to the hose clamp. Then it's not permanent or messing with your fancy exhaust.

This. You want tubing clamps with standoffs. Or split ring hangers. If you want dirt cheap then use a standard exhaust clamp with a stud welded to the bridge.

Thanks for the help, those heat shield standoffs may work great if I can get some long enough to go around both pipes. The shield came with some very cheesy hose clamps with a nut welded to them that would “work” if long enough but they are not. The shield needs to go right where the two pipes collect into one

Why not just wrap in in header wrap? I did it on my Dyna with a thunder header and it helped...

I would like to keep as much of the exhaust exposed as possible and think wrapping part of it would look odd.
