Good looking truck! I have some 5100's I'm going to be installing soon also! Any reason you went with the middle setting and the CB shims vs. using the top settings on the 5100's?

Top setting compresses the spring more making it ride a little more harsh prior to break-in. Now that they have broken in I have since removed them and took them to the top setting.

Got out in the rainy weather and enjoyed a few drinks at a spot my company built in downtown Houston. I was actually enjoying the weather, made it feel like fall was finally coming.

1" bora spacers took 3 weeks to come in. Had to shave the rear studs about 1/8th of an inch. Needed more UCA and tire space for an alignment. These helped...temporarily

I was able to get a harness from eBay which came from Tokyo (long shot) that gave me RCA Video inputs for the stock Entune Screen/Unit. This plugs into your stock unit and then your original harness plugs into the new harness. You will see it gives you the video inputs. This is all that is needed to tell our stock units we have an A/V input now. It will automatically appear under your "Source" once your put back together and your vehicle is turned on. If you notice in the picture they already wire a disconnect on the SPD wire. This allowed me to solder 2 longer wires to each end and run to a switch. This allows you to use your disabled settings on your Entune unit while in motion or connect BT...etc.

I then ran a 6' RCA to the inside of my center console. From there I connected another device that converts HDMI to RCA/V. This allowed my to then install my Chromecast. Power sources for both were plugged into a dual USB charger and plugged into the center console 12v source.

As far as the reason I chose Chromecast is that on my Android device I can create a hotspot, let the chromecast connect to it for functionality, then I can mirror any chromcast compatable app to the screen. Chromecast also allows you to turn your screen off while streaming, this was my biggest reasoning with choosing CC. Otherwise there is no CC maps, so navigation is still out unless you just use the CC mirror function but it will not allow you to turn off your screen.

Let me know if anyone has questions

    Not sure at this point.
Do you happen to have the parts number for this? Will it fit on 2021s?

Snagged some new Yokohama Geolander X ATs, 275/65/20. I have some minor rubbing in reverse on the front plastic. Heat gun should fix that later when I can get to it.
    20210309_120250.jpg

Got the BORA 1" spacers on. Only the rear studs needed to be shaved and it was probably just 1/8" or so. I go to my neighboring shop for a lot of my work, Texas Tires and Parts. They build drift cars so its always fun seeing what filling up their garage space. The red G35 in the background is the first EVER in existence to have a vr30ddtt swap, just a twin turbo v6 from a Q60...nbd. Check out Rudy's Youtube videos under his shops name. These guys also do my alignments as they're the alignment kings in their realm of crazy camber.

Thanks. If you think you’d love the look/performance, keep your eyes out for a used pair to buy as a spare set to try on. The hardest part was getting them open and cleaned without damaging anything. You can try all that without buying any retrofit parts. If you get them separated and cleaned up without incident, then pick up the rest of the parts. If you destroy them, the loss isn’t so bad with a used set.

I like that, good thinking on waiting until after the bake...Also doesn't help my confidence as the baking was the part I was worried about and here you are solidifying it as the hardest part haha!

Absolutely, also you won’t be in a rush to get the truck back to road worthy status so quick. The process tested my patience.

Katzkins installed finally. Look and feel incredible. If anyone is local to houston the installer only charged $250 as I had the kit and did it in my driveway. PM for his details. I was planning to do that myself but with a 7 month old I didn't see that ever happening anytime soon.

Bought some Diode Dynamics fog lights off Amazon through a 3rd party seller. Was really stoked to get them installed. Well got them installed and come time to power them on one is like a bright white yellow rather than yellow so went to check on it and it's connection. It was so hot it immediately burnt all 3 fingers that grabbed the light housing. I went and touched the other functioning one and it wasn't even warm. Bummer. Now the whole return bs...

Got any more shots of your new tires with spacers? That setup is essentially +20 offset which is same as my wheels and those are the tire size I want so im curious

Sliders came in from WKOR. Took 11 weeks, including shipping, from time of order to door. Had them shipped to my office warehouse as it was a little cheaper and planned to install them there anyways. By the time they arrived I had finished up most of my work for the day so I started the prep work. Light sand with acetone wipe down and then used the self etching Primer, about 2 or 3 coats.

Install was pretty straight forward. Fought the gas tank bolts a little but not too bad. Worst part was drilling the holes and getting hot metal all over my sleeveless arms. If I had to do the install again the only thing I'd change is the shirt I was wearing for a long sleeve.

Shot down to Galveston last weekend, before this memorial day crowd beat us to it. Was pretty damn rainy but we still had a blast and had the place to ourselves. Initially planned to drive down the beach to SLP but it was a little too wet and tide was up like crazy, I didn't feel like getting stuck out there with the family on board. First time the softtopper has come into play, it really saved our luggage and stuff from the weather and driving rain.
