    Hi,

New to the forum and am looking at new trucks. Need something larger than what I have now. I currently drive a 2013 Tacoma that seems to have shrank in the wash.

I've searched but have been unable to find the answer to this question: with the rear seats folded up in a CM, how much horizontal distance is between the back of the front center console and the bottom of the folded up rear seats? Also, what is the vertical measurement from the floor to the window?

I ask because I have an XL Ruffland dog kennel that I keep my dog in when in the cab. I had to remove the rear seats of my Tacoma and build a platform to get it it to fit. The two major downsides to this are: 1, obviously no rear seats; and, 2, the kennel sits up too high creating a blind spot in the right rear.

I don't have easy access to a Tundra to measure so I'm hoping someone might be able to give some measurements so I have a better idea.

    The dimensions of the kennel are 41"L x 23"W x 31"H

Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like you haven't gotten a reply. I might recommend going to a dealer with your dog kennel and see if it fits. If you can find a dealer with a tundra that is

I’d help you out if I had a third gen. The second gen CrewMax seats fold down. I’m sure someone with a 3rd gen CrewMax will chime in eventually.

And I'll confirm for you. In a 2017 double cab (I just measured it) the 27" above is 24".

It might not be that secure there due to the floor being lower in front of the seats.

This is true, but I fill the space with a couple folded tarps or something and then lay a dog bed over it.

XL Ruffland won’t fit with the pass side seat down. If you have all the seats up it will. I wish the XL was about 4 inches shorter. That would be ideal.

    Some stuff
i have a giant pelican box that i use for my video production work. it measures 38.50 x 24.60 x 21.90. it fits with both seats folded up but the tricky part is the door. it takes a bit of sweet talking to get it squeezed in past the door and the rear of the center console. the corners tend to get hung up for me. also doesn't help that i'm usually manhandling it on my own.

Do you have a picture of this by chance ? I ordered this size for my 70lb malinois hoping it fits in my crew max.
