Hi all first time starting a thread long time reader on this group.

    Looking for some assistance /advice

I have 2014 tundra 1794 Edition with a fisher SD plow on it.
2 weeks ago I had plow issues which actually turned out to be alternator battery issues... got a new alternator and then a week later my steering wheel is not smooth when turning it.

I assume when they swapped my alternator they somehow frigged up the
    Power steering pump.
All connections look right no fluid leaking no noise coming from the power steering pump.
Only symptom is when I turn the wheel when driving/taking turns it's not smooth.
I should note steering at zero issues prior to the alternator swap.

    Any advice?

How many miles? It is certainly possible with the age of the truck and mileage, that the pump could be worn and need replacement. If the alternator needed replacement it is not a stretch to think that other components may be at end of lift too. And I am sure pushing snow does add additional stress to steering and drive components.

You make a very good point
I only have 66,000 km on it All City driving I'm fortunate to live only a few kilometers from work
Which is only the case a year after I bought the truck.

My skepticism on it being a warn part is that everything was functioning properly prior to the alternator change. and you have to remove the power steering pump to get to the alternator.

Good point. Yes that would make me wonder too. Only thing I can think of to suggest - maybe try and remove as much steering fluid as you can, then refill and drive it some. Do that 2-3 times to get as much of the old fluid out and see if that helps. Could be air in the system or old fluid. I would try that before replacing the PS pump.

If I remember correctly to ease removal of alternator you need to un attach power steering pump. My guess the installers did something to it. Toyota really screwed the pouch on the alternator location.

Found the problem not the power steering pump at all. it was the
    intermediate steering shaft.
Temp fix was to clean and grease the shaft and parts.
When it starts acting up again I'll have to drop some $$ to get the part replaced.
Thanks for the help though guys.
