I don't have one. ...yet? I do like them a lot. As you said, they're not cheap.

It's on my list. I think Gobi has been around a while and agree that they do have the best looking option for the Sequoia.

Wow! You gonna do it? I know times are tough, but that's a long time for them to be backed up, short-handed, or whatever.

Are that may people running Gobi?

If you go to their website they have a pic of the Stealth with ladder mounted on a 2nd Gen Sequoia. I will definitely post a pic once I get it installed, but it looks like that isn't going to happen until April at the earliest.

My wife has a GOBI on her 2020 4Runner. It has been fantastic. I installed it myself and it was simple enough and mounts solid.

I ordered my GOBI without the the rise in the front. It's an up charge, but worth it for the look and functionality in my opinion. Still don't have mine (ORDERED IN DECEMBER!). I was told to call back mid May and they would be able to give me a hard ship date, which will most likely be June...

I have a gobi stealth on my 4runner as well. The thing is beefy and solid. No issues with quality at all. It is realitively quiet, just some modest wind noise above 75. I’ve loaded it down numerous times and been impressed how well it does. They are great for lumber or moldings. We overland as well and it makes it super convenient to get bins on and off the truck quickly.
Don’t expect it to arrive in 4 months though. We are at 6 months for a ladder, and they still haven’t given us a production/expected date. To me they are being a bit shady in their lead times.

To be honest it doesn't seem like they care much. I think their backlog is so large they can tell you or do whatever they want. I was told shipping in May, now they've bumped me to mid June. If I don't get a ship date begging to mid June I'm going to call them AGAIN and raise hell. They should be a little more transparent since their product costs a damn arm and leg. They can only play the COVID/Supply Chain card for so long.

I ordered the Stealth with sunroof panel and ladder back in Feb. Just confirmed with Gobi that mine will ship on the 6th or 7th of June. I'll post pics on my build thread as soon as it's on.

Seriously, this is retarded. I’m at 26 weeks for a fricken ladder... that’s it. I feel like these guys are just screw-in with me.

Happy for you! Ordered mine in December and still noting... Definitely calling GOBI to give them a piece of my mind. I did do the "no rise" option, but that shouldn't matter since they claim these are all custom built to order.

I think the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
I’d call them ever day if I was you.

I think my saving grace was that I insisted a ship date be on my paperwork right from the get go. Then I called several times to insist that it be on time due to a trip I have planned. If they missed that date I felt then I might have some leverage if it went to dispute.

As it stands, mine was right on time.
I hope your wait ends soon.

Most recent excuse... "Obviously if someone else got their order quicker than you, then they were bumped because they ordered something different (except they didn't) and someone else in front of them canceled. I'm sorry sir, but we have orders we are trying to fill from August/September 2020 that are priority before yours..."

Only saving grace is GOBI doesn't charge you until the item ships. If they had my money tied up for the past 5.5 months I would have already called and filed a claim with my bank for a fraud charge. Excited to get the rack when I get back from vacation mid June, but definitely won't recommend GOBI to anyone else based solely on their customer service and lead time issues.

Install was pretty painless. Quality is excellent. Cringed when I spent the money but a little relieved now.

Only downside I can see is that I may need to find stronger tailgate struts come winter. Ladder weight slowed the stockers quite a bit

    Looks great!

I noticed a similar issue when my rear window is down, it stops about 6” from full open.

Order placed December 30, 2020... I guess the wait is over. The freight company showed up yesterday unannounced and luckily I was here to sign for it. Almost 7 months to the day.

    IMG_2025 copy.jpg
    IMG_2028 copy.jpg

Took a minute to removed the stock rack, only because I had two seized up bolts. Got it off yesterday evening and will clean the roof and should get the GOBI put on this afternoon.

Adam: did you put it on? Is this the version without the raised front? What do you think of that? I don't understand why it costs more. It seems to be necessary to put a canoe on top.

I bought 5 bike racks to install on my roof, and realized that they aren't made for the wide cross-bars the Sequoia comes with. So now I have a reason to do what I've been wanting: order a Gobi rack, with the two cross-bars.

Might even get it in time for spring. I don't think I would want to install it in the winter, I'd half-ass washing the roof in the cold.
