Getting my ARE camper shell on Friday and planning on running a few wires from the cab to the bed including 12V for some lighting and the wiring for my rear dashcam... What is the best routing option for stuff like this?

There are a handful of floor grommets you could use, located essentially where the driver's/passenger's feet are (as well as rear seat passengers), there is also a thread somewhere about fishing a wire through the rear body vents.

Here is a pic of my DC with no carpet to show where the grommets are, the front grommets are just under the styrofoam at the front of the foot area.

Yea, interior was ripped out at about 1,000mi for full sound deadening/stereo/electrical wiring; without derailing @100LL 's thread, you can follow my build thread

I also sound deadened my 2020, so I know the grommets you're speaking of. I'm more curious how people are getting wiring into the bed for their camper builds.

Ahhh maybe I can assist with this, my second battery lives in the bed (well, it will, I'm in the final stages of wiring up the battery box currently). My plan is to use the grommets found in the drivers front corner of the bed to run +/- wires in (as well as more out). I'm running 2/0AWG for power/ground between the batteries. This is actually my plan for tomorrow, so I'll take some pictures of how I end up running the cables

While there isn't a camper on the back as of yet, our AT Atlas will be going on this summer when it's built

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
I drilled a hole in the shell lip that is in line with the plastic pop out on the stake pocket plug, and drilled through it also. Then I fished the cable in through the bottom of the stake pocket into the camper. If I ever wanted to restore my truck to stock it would only require 1 of those little 2” x 2” plastic stake pocket plugs

Did you get around to this yet? I’m about to do the same job and would love to see how you do it!

Hey, FWIW, I ran wires for under rail LED bed lights. Form the engine bay would be the same as from the cab as you can use the floor grommets.

I then ran along the frame rail on the drivers side to the rear bumper. If you take off the rear taillight its a clean shot to underneath the truck to the frame rail. From the tail light area, to in the bed there are small holes at the top of the bed than you can run the wires through to whatever accessory you need.

Went out and pulled the light to get some pictures that might make more sense.

    Hope this helps.....
So this hole goes into the bed stake hole. When you take off the taillight, you’ll see a square frame with holes. You can use a fish wire or hanger to pull it through.

I forgot I ended up changing stuff and running the wires up through another opening, just under the rail. If you look at my first pic,
You can see where the wire comes out and is in the corrugated wire loom.

So there are a few photos in my build thread, specifically this post, but the one thing I didn't take a pic of was the grommet in the front bed wall. I ended up cutting a T into it to fit the two 2/0AWG cables, however, at that point it basically lost all rigidity in the grommet and refuses to stay snapped into the bed wall. At the moment it isn't a huge deal to me as any dust or water that blows in can go right back out through the bed, however, before the AT Atlas goes on I'm planning on sealing the bed and considering replacing the grommet and using a pair of Blue Sea through fittings (positive and negative)
