Last year I changed my brake pads and bread the brakes. Today I was driving around 60 and a cat jumped in front of my truck. I slammed on the brakes and my vehicle did not immediately stop. It slowed down. I felt some kind of springing action in the brake pedal. Is something wrong?

Springing action? You mean the abs system?

    and now they’re toast. :D

Of course, we knew he meant bled, and autocorrupt is likely to blame.:monocle:

If the brakes feel / work normally then I say it was ABS doing it’s thing, which is giving steering control priority over stopping.

Seem normal to me, it’s impossible for a ~6000 lbs truck to stop immediately. Sound like the abs is doing it’s job.
